Apostolos Dimitrakopoulos - Mithra

Mithra ( Avestan - in old Persian...) commonly known as Mehr or Mithras among Romans.
He was an ancient Iranian deity of Covenants, Light, Oath, Justice, the Sun, Contracts, Friendship.
Mithra was also an all-seeing protector of Truth, and the guardian of cattle, the harvest, and the Waters.

Mithraism is viewed as a rival of early Christianity in the 4th century. Mithraists faced persecution from Christians...!
And the religion was subsequently suppressed and eliminated in the chaotic Roman Empire by the end of the century.
