The Cult are an English rock band formed in Bradford, West Yorkshire in 1983. Another belter STV, where the hell do you dig them out from, the 1st time I seen the Cult was the love tour, in the Edinburgh Playhouse, brilliant gig, even though Mr Astbury kept ripping the crowd for not being as rowdy as the previous night in the barras,, no shit Sherlock😂
@@brendandunleavy1399 😀💋❤ПРЕКРАСНО❤I love Ian & Billy...Hello from Serbia,Добро дошли поново у❤ СРБИЈУ Зајечар на гитаријаду❤💓💋💋
Ian is a great singer with a phenomenal voice..... Bellissimo ❤
Ian Astbury is a tremendously gifted singer
This is my all-time favorite lineup of the Cult. 😎
I hope you enjoy this video
Nahhh.. Very pedestrian.. Not owning the larger stage. As someone who followed on tour.. Best line up is Death Cult with Nigel Preston on drums RIP.
@@brimans3092 As a drummer myself, I love Nigel’s drumming.
Stayed for the all too infrequent Jamie moments.
What a set! I just love the “Love” and “Dreamtime” albums. I just love how Ian channels Jim Morrison, so outrageous and brilliant.
Thanks for watching and commenting, I'm glad you found and enjoyed this video
Love and Dreamtime are their two best albums, IMO.
Fan since 1986. This is one of their best live performances!!
what a superb post !!! Billy Duffy's guitar sound is incredible !!

This is brilliant 👏 thank you S'teevee! Both sound and picture quality are perfect! 👍❤🤘🖤❤❤🖤🤘
I am glad you enjoyed this video Sandra, more Cult to come🎸
Pure treasure, cheers from Brazil
Bi thanks. Great audio quality, especially as the drums and bass are so high in the mix and better for it. I still think their first three albums were their best. Kind of lost their sound into more mainstream rock later on. Same thing happened to the Sisters of Mercy. Ian should have kept channeling his inner pale rider, but this is a great reminder of a band on their way up and at their best.
This is a piece of Gold.
Great album start to finish! #Love 🎸🤘🏻 #TheCult
Sou muito fã dessa banda! Suas canções são ótimas!
This is a gem. Thank you🥰

❤❤❤❤❤
Ian Astbury = everything.
Awesomeness!
Thank you! Cheers!
This is Prime Cult, such an underrated band that doesn't seem to get the attention they so richly deserve. I'd put their body of work from '84 to '89 up against any 'rock' band on the planet.
They got my attention back in the day and I was more of an Indie band fan than pure rock, my mate Darren at school was big into them. Spotify these days tells me why he was into them, they were quite simply 'great'. I think they just needed a few more hits in the mainstream charts besides 'She Sells Sanctuary' and 'Fire Woman' to have pushed them up into the higher echelons of fame.
Prefer this version of the Cult and the 'Love' period before they went all AC/DC Led Zep Out and out boring rock... But made them stars esp in America!
Pure gold as all the videos you upload thanks you
Scottish tee vee thank you!!
fantastic
MARAVILHOSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!
🔊Way Cool👊🏻
The best era of the cult
❤❤❤
Dziękuję 🌹
Even Live I just don't hear "The Texas sun makes my back burn"
🤘😁🤘
👍🏻
Duffy is like a fusion of Charlie Burchill, Peter Townsend and Adam Jones but with his own amazing technique, tone and intonation. The guitarists I played with in the 80s described it as the “ringing bell sound”. Proof you don’t have to be a shredder to be a metal guitar god.
Indeed! And no shredding is better. David Gilmour knows it.
With a big helping of Killing Joke's Geordie Walker thrown in
no mucking about. duffys guitar soars. ians vocals are top class.
Anyone else thinking that this gig was wasted on a German audience? 😉 Great stuff!
15:00 - She Sells Sanctuary.
Today is 8/11/23. This video was posted yesterday, 8/10/23. So, help me guys, how can there be 2 posted comments from 2 months ago?!? Isn't that weird as fuck?
when they great before trying to be AC/DC
What 🤔.
I totally get what you're saying and agree.
Electric was a great album and they did not sound like Ac Dc. I don’t like ac dc. Great musicians but they never grabbed me.
I loved the Cult back then even although deep down I knew they were a bit sh*t.
Wonderful
The coolest band in the universe
Vi o The Cult duas vezes, a primeira em 1991, estreia da banda em nossas terras. Ginásio do Ibirapuera lotado. QUE SHOW!!!
@@stonealone9389 Hehehe...
Cure naquela época era GIGANTE!
E o Cult foi sim. Som altíssimo, os caras quebraram tudo!
This is gold
