I have met autistic kids growing up and I can guarantee you that they don't exclusively just eat McDonald's. The original poster should have called the cops and report on possible abuse. CPS needs to be stepping in on this one.
I’m autistic and I can confirm that what the parents are saying is bs I just don’t like wet food but there’s exceptions like coco pops and milk But that’s good
The first story: I have two nephews who are severely autistic, with the younger of the two also being ADHD. This whole junk food or fast food being equated to neurodivergent disorders is ridiculous. That's just sheer lazy parenting. It's also right up there with the whole "my kids are picky eaters” excuse. Which I'm sure these entitled parents have pulled a time or two in their lives. The fact that they tried to get OP in trouble for not coddling their entire family unit just tells you how toxic these parents truly are. It's true what they say. Working with the public, a person gets to see both the best in the worst humanity has to offer. There really is no in between.
i myself also have autism and i can say you are correct. though if the picky eater excuse is used on someone with autism, i'd say that's valid, but not valid enough to not serve them food at a restaurant while you do serve the parents, even if the parents say so
Those kids weren't autistic, they've been conditioned by their abusive parents to keep quiet and only fed them McDonald's as a reward if they behaved a certain way in public while mom and dad ate in front of them!
I agree with you especially using 2 disabled disorders as an excuse is not ok me I know what sensory processing disorder is and means because I have it and I also have autism I was diagnosed with the autism at 14 and the sensory problem when I was a kid I still have that problem and have been trying to work through it especially that I have really bad anxiety and that I’m adhd so I struggle with those especially my emotions so that Karen is obviously lying
@@zoegeyer-sf5jq eventually cps is going to get called, I'm surprised OP didn't suggest it. Why go out to eat with your kids if you only feed them junk food?
Story 5: I can kinda see both sides here, I have a lot of experience on OP's side, and if i was less anxious about making people hate me for it, I'd probably be more like the friend. OP definitely didn't do anything wrong, not at all, and I think the way they said they need a break is actually really okay. It sounds to me like OP is burnt out, and when no one will listen to you, the burnout takes longer to recover from, and that's just how that is. On the friend's side, it's really, really hard to go through family and mental health issues with no one to really safe talking to. I've had a lot of issues with family in recent years (and as is become clearer and clearer to me since I started actually throwing myself into therapy, I've been having a LOT of family issues my whole life), and my mental health had generally been ignored or looked at as not as bad as it was for most of my life too. As a result, I want to talk to my friends about everything I'm feeling when I start feeling it, and most of them do get a basic info-dump on the worst of it, but I always hold back a lot of what I'm going through, even from therapists, because I'm scared that if I repeat myself or keep talking about the same general issue even if it's do with a different person or even just try to vent at all, then I'm going to drive them away. But make no mistake, the desire to info-dump all the pain and frustration is always there, so I really do get where the friend is coming from too. The friend needs to professional help instead of putting it all on OP, and OP does very much deserve a break and to mentally recuperate
I know every child is different but most with food avoidance eat like plain pasta nuggets etc I haven't seen one eat MacDonald besides nuggets .. which you can get nearly anywhere including my child and others I work with
I found that wild kids with autism only eat McDonald’s. Yes, that starts up when you’re a baby and all that but if you do that then the kids have a lot of problems you have to do the right thing as a parent to make sure kids learn this just sounds like terrible parents. and this is coming from a person with autism
Some parents when they hear the word autistic automatically means to them they have to give it to every need to avoid a meltdown. That's not true at all. I have two autistic kids and I'm not afraid to tell them know or tell them we're eating here not McDonald's
For the last story the parents showed exactly how out of touch with the OP they were by not only threatening for something to happen but also not knowing their threat is completely out of date
for story 4 op's not the jerk, her sister is weird and doesn't know better than calling kim a gold digger and didn't even know him right from the start.
I have autism and the only thing the kids eat is McDonald's. It sounds like a pretty red flag to me. I honestly think the parents are actually being abusive and not letting the kids eat and using McDonald's and autism as a excuse. These kids definitely need a welfare check
Dude, Murphy's Law existed way before that show was ever created. It wasn't a reference to the show at all, but a reference to the theory of Murphy's Law. 😂😅
Story 5 - YTA, OP could have used less hurtful words like she herself is also facing difficulties and unable to hv lunch with her friend. She is the other half of the issue if she does not want to lend a shoulder to cry on, she is not obliged to but should have compassion enough to use kind words to reject. How hard is rephrasing your words ? Do you always say the bare truths to the face of others like "This chair can't take your weight because you are too fat?"
Yeah no that Karen is obviously lying about her sons being autistic and having sensory issues I know because I’m autistic and have sensory processing disorder and I’m never eating McDonald’s or told I can only have McDonald’s that mom is a fucking liar and that is not ok to lie about having something when someone obviously has it I know I have it because I was diagnosed with it when I was a kid one of the symptoms is spinning a lot and I did that a lot as a kid and not being able to focus on things which I couldn’t even with school work I don’t remember the other symptoms there are for it but I know I have some of the symptoms so that mom using a disorder to claim that they can only have McDonald’s is fucking messed up especially for me because they clearly can have other foods too

Cps wouldn’t have done anything so the op would have just wasted their time
Yeah I’m autistic and this is just dumb, I’ve never gone so far to ONLY eat McDonalds that’s just ridiculous!
I’m autistic and I can confirm that what the parents are saying is bs
I just don’t like wet food but there’s exceptions like coco pops and milk
But that’s good

I say that sounds much more likely.

Those kids will die at an early age only eating McDonald's
I have Asperger's and Tourette's Syndrome both, as well as ADHD, I can't believe those parents in the first story.
Story 1 had me on the ground lmfao 🤣
I'm autistic as well and this ain't looking for the parents 😂
"finest?" McDonalds? thats an OXYMORON

Man this RUclips channel is wonderful
Honestly, the third story sounds exactly like my life.
I know every child is different but most with food avoidance eat like plain pasta nuggets etc I haven't seen one eat MacDonald besides nuggets .. which you can get nearly anywhere including my child and others I work with
The parents in story 1 need to knock sense you can’t only eat McDonald’s. Eat other foods
I found that wild kids with autism only eat McDonald’s. Yes, that starts up when you’re a baby and all that but if you do that then the kids have a lot of problems you have to do the right thing as a parent to make sure kids learn this just sounds like terrible parents.
and this is coming from a person with autism
Story #5. Oooooh, I can relate! Only it's one of my cousins. It got so bad that I just up and moved almost three hours away!
I hope the people in the first story know that fast food is not a constitutional right 😂
Some parents when they hear the word autistic automatically means to them they have to give it to every need to avoid a meltdown. That's not true at all. I have two autistic kids and I'm not afraid to tell them know or tell them we're eating here not McDonald's
For the last story the parents showed exactly how out of touch with the OP they were by not only threatening for something to happen but also not knowing their threat is completely out of date
On the first story, op you did your job. Those are just crazy entitled parents.
On the last story, op you are NOT the jerk.
What about suggesting a little basket to hold a few of all of the flavors of arrange them on a plate all nice
Wow what a piece of work
Story one is just so weird, I could hardly listen at all
Same
I'm High and had to listen multiple times to know what's happening
Bruh... I have autism and do NOT eat only McDonald's 😂
Same. I know places that are leagues better then McDonald's
15:47 Just Cancel the brunch👍👍👍
I'm a little confused about the story about the 70 year old mother. Why isn't she eligible for a state pension?
ITS TIME I DONT WANT ALOT FOR CHRISTMAS
How did it be 10 days ago😂
Me and my brother are autistic, we ain't limited to mc Donald's 😂
for story 4 op's not the jerk, her sister is weird and doesn't know better than calling kim a gold digger and didn't even know him right from the start.
so the sister doesn't know better.
I have autism and the only thing the kids eat is McDonald's. It sounds like a pretty red flag to me. I honestly think the parents are actually being abusive and not letting the kids eat and using McDonald's and autism as a excuse. These kids definitely need a welfare check
The parents must really hate their kids, feeding them just McDonald's crap!
Last story. Does your parents have dementia or did they miss out the all the info for the past 3 or so years of OP's life?
Where was this voice all this time? Thought he got fired from this channel or something. Like this reader better than the others.
No way did the op in the second story make a Murphy's Law reference from a show called Murphy's Law made by Dan povenmire
wow
Dude, Murphy's Law existed way before that show was ever created. It wasn't a reference to the show at all, but a reference to the theory of Murphy's Law. 😂😅
um lady you know eating only mcdonalds is not healthy
Story 5 - YTA, OP could have used less hurtful words like she herself is also facing difficulties and unable to hv lunch with her friend. nah the friend is in the wrong.
