I watch your videos just for the drive review. The drive pov, the engine sounds that's what make your videos special to me. Other review channels really just bring out opinion pieces these days. Your reviews actually let the viewer make some opinions of his own.👍
Always fond of ur reviews. The middle row seats are, i guess, intentionally designed short in height so that by keeping the minimum leg space they have to fit (without touching the front seats) when they get folded, to provide maximum space for passage to 3rd row. That can be the only reason for short height. However other brands have managed to keep the seat height perfect and still fit when they are in folded form.
SUGGESTION: Do include door thud, heaviness, interior plastic quality of doors, dashboard by pressing it etc in every reviews so that it will make review perfect!

Looks like a good product to me in design department it does look good but from some angles also resembles wagnoR NGL and secondly best part is how spacious it is but a big demerit for me has to be this not having the 360degree camera in the end it's quite a good packaged car

That's a handle for support for elderly people who want to sit at the rear most seat. Moreover, the rear most seat's under thigh support may not be that good for tall people like you but it's good for middle height people like me.
Also we want a review on the petrol manual version.

Tip for 7 seater car users :- to use third row comfortably,fold down the third row seats and 2 people can easily lay down in the back and can enjoy the ride with lots of space
( not applicable for Innova and Marazzo as they have proper space in 3rd row)
Innova has same knees up position. I dont why people say this. we have a innova and its same as every other 7 seater car. Just that the 3rd row is wider in innova but the leg space and under thigh support is non existent in innova too. Carnival probably the onely one with good 3rd row.

Here are my impressions from driving one of these (Automatic Diesel).
Pros:-
1) Brakes felt good, confidence boosting.
2) Lots of bells and whistles (I am personally not a fan of, as I see them as point of failures), Gadgets, Gizmos, functions etc.
3) Bose Speaker System sounded Great.
4) Engine had little to no vibrations.
5) Wireless Phone Charging.
1) Steering felt way too light, almost felt as if I am not in control, also felt a understeering was a concern (I've owned a Swift, an Innova and now a Fortuner 4x2).
2) The gear shift was sluggish to say the least, quite sluggish.
3) Last row is technically useless.
4) Seating position felt a tad on the lower side, felt almost a few inches above sedan'.
5) Dashboard is way too much gloss, almost feels like a mirror under the sun (read noon).
Apparently whenever I look at videos and people who fancy having a car with a 12 inch screen, chargers, adapters, electric motor steering etc etc and base their decisions of buying on such factors, I would say good luck to them and their money. These features are just like adding more and more points of failure, because, let's face it, the gizmos and gadgets will not drive the car, they are just peripherals, which KIA, Hyundai, Mahindra etc are using to sell cars with features more than improving their safety (NCAP) ratings, build quality and robustness.
Yes, call me old school, but if a car is built like paper and has a beautiful 50 inch TV inside, I would not put my money there...
Just my 2c, not trying to demean anyone's decision or a product, purely personal opinion.

2 corrections to your review: 1. The rear pen holder which you stated is a wire organiser, to tuck your charger wire. 2. The place on dash which you said is for holding mobile is in fact car perfume holder

Which one do you suggest? I know the features in carens are really appealing but... Does it beat marazzo space wise and comfy wise?

Everything is good, but they should have included a 360 degree camera which now even the Baleno sports off

Tbh this is the first car of Kia I feel good in terms of overall package they are giving (hope it scores atleast 4 stars)
Given that it has 6 air bags as standard across the variants, it can easily score 4 stars (Just a guess). Quite tempting package, especially better package than Sonet. But the waiting periods are already too long.

I booked Kia seltos in the month of November and got it delivered last week. During the waiting period I had requested to transfer my booking to Carens from Seltos, but did not work out. But after seeing the car here in the video it does not look that impressive compared to Alcazar. It gives a feel of Honda Mobilio which was a disaster and I believe this may fail too. Not sure why but this not give that Beast kind of feeling!!
Fail? The waiting period for some variants has gone up to 49 weeks already. I did not take the Seltos as I could feel all bumps on the road. This has a much more plush ride.
@@thestrategist100 Agreed mate.Shocks are absolute failure in Seltos. I can feel the zebra crossing too :). My Creta was lot better. !!But we cannot judge a car by its waiting period!
Actually i booked seltos on december and changed to carens lateron in jan.. Got the lux plus 1.4turbo variant 6str last week.. Im so happy that i skipped seltos coz this car has freaking practical third row than anyother!

Hi Faisal. The 3rd row is cramped for most of the cars. I guess Innova Crysta will have a little better space. It is made just for the sake of providing it. Only children can adjust there. Most of the cars have very bad under thigh support in the 3rd row..so long drives will be uncomfortable.

My Kia sonet diesel automatic returns around 13-14kmpl in city+highway .So, you can expect Carens diesel automatic to return around 10-11kmpl. Hope it helpful.

Actally space near cup holder that's happens to be a air freshener holder not mobile holder from there a mild air is came out well bit of a practicality
You are the first to call spade a spade and say this is against the Maruti XL6 so buyers know what to expect and what they are getting into. None of the so called biggies reviewed it from that point of view. Yes Ertiga and XL6 always felt underpowered and so will this one. Just that nowadays the features come into play and thats where they have hit the ball out of the park. Good review Faisal.
He is constantly saying and comparing this excellent car with the alcazar, that alcazar has this, alcazar has that, but he is not telling that alcazar also has a very steep price tag compared to the carens. Carens aims to dominate the ertiga, xl6, triber segment, not the hector plus or the alcazar!!
