today i finally was able to muster the courage to finally get a job after years of fighting severe mental illness. my mental affliction had manifested as physical affliction, because body and mind are interdependent. Buddhism saved my life. I went from someone who never left their room and hated others, to a person who thoroughly enjoys and pursues life through the practice of mahamudra. I will forever owe my guru and all the buddhas and the sangha for helping me get through my toughest life questions and how to truly feel at home in my mind again, but also to show me how unified we are in our suffering and how compassion is the key to happiness. How unified we are with our empty nature, and other's failure to realize it. I would not be the person who is thriving and loving, I would be the same old miserable person before who only knew how to cling and hurt.

Oh sure, would be much much much more beneficial if you say out loud and chant too :))
You can listen or read loud, is not important. You should read or listen with your Bodhidcitta. It’s most important. (To me)
better if you can sit meditate and just relax and only chant. No thinking, just relax ...
