@@bobochan4699 He's got a slight frame disadvantage unlike the shotos because of the charge moves. Zone with the boom at distance, use short flash kicks because the others have too much recovery time on the way down. Guile is better in the air with his air grabs and his longer range jump kicks. Be ready to punish with one of Guile's dizzy combos, once you connect with a deep hit. Gief's SPD grab range is a few ticks beyond his standing forward kick so it's far. Plus a lot of them love to do tic-throws with the SPD. My arcade would frown upon using it because it's considered cheap, the same as throwing someone in block-stun.
I hate that the sound effects on the SNES editions are so cheesy and not even close to the arcade version. I played this religiously in the early 90s and still to this day !
Zangief is dangerous in champ edition and the programmers made mistake with his move features because if your good with zangief like the player in this vid is then he can't be defeated
Knew a regular at a arcade center that would choose zangief and he kicked ass to where nobody would put there coin in from the crowd. Whoever is playing this plays exactly the same as im actually traumatized
@@tsntana yup on champ edition the game engineers made mistake of giving zangief that pile grab ability also the moving spinning clothesline. Only fighters that could counter the pile driver grab was ryu, ken and guile other fighters couldn't
Zangief's lariat felt all but useless in the world warrior because it didn't last long and you couldn't move Zangief back and forth the way you can here.

His scars, too. For a while, it was the same case with Sagat where the inside of his mouth matched whatever color the stripe on his trunks was.
What clothes? Zangief is only wearing underwear and shoes and his “big bulge” is showing quite significantly too.
Yeah, thankfully they fixed it in ‘Super’…

I remember players would wait for the Zangief to leave, put their coins in, only for the Zangief to come back.
