Been coming back to Christianity lately, mostly exploring reformed and orthodox. These Anabaptist types sound like the kind of thinking I most align with, I didn't know a more modern universal flavour existed!
The Brethren sound like they're in agreement with most mainstream Evangelicals. I never knew this much about them, I always just assumed they were similar to the Amish.
There are several different "flavors" of Brethren... some are quite conservative like the Amish, and others have light shows and big bands during Sunday worship 😅 (speaking from experience)
Though one of the founders of the UBC was a Mennonite, and there are a number of Mennonites who part of the movement early on, most of the Brethren groups were not connected with the UBs. Early on there was a more connection with the early Methodists.
Otterbein University in Westerville Ohio (near Columbus). It was founded in 1847 by United Brethren in Christ. The univeristy still exists but it was taken over by the Methodist church in 1968.
Nuance. When the United Brethren split in 1889, Otterbein remained with the larger group. That branch of the United Brethren merged with the Evangelical Church (becoming EUB), and then merged with The Methodist Church to become the United Methodist Church. Otterbeing continued their association through the various mergers. So it was not exactly taken over by the Methodists, though many EUB people felt like it was a take over. :)
This is cool! There's a 1968 offshoot of this church called "The Evangelical Church" represented by the Pacific Conference. Might be worth a look if you haven't done a video on them yet! EDIT : My bad, you totally mentioned them! Awesome!

Very solid sounding church. I appreciate them calling masonic lodge heretics. Some of their positions are a bit too stuffy for me personally though, like the alcohol abstinence.

This denomination isn't clear on the creation account. Not to take a stand is to make a stand. 😮 The Bibles plainly teaches the God created everything in 6 actual days. The Scriptures leave no other interpretation.
They're a good church, albeit fastidiously anti-Catholic. The reason for that is the problems with graven images and Marian dogmas. Now I believe the popes did away with icons and replaced those objects of veneration with statues in order to mold a new distinct indentity apart from the east (ie. identity politics). As for Marian dogmas, this passage applies: "Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old. (Mt. 13:52)"
“The Bible doesn’t say “how” to baptize…” it’s obvious in Matthew 3: Jesus CAME UP OUT OF THE WATER. He was not sprinkled, nor had water poured on Him. Why is that so tough to understand? #foreverBaptist
Couple of issues with your argument: The mention of “coming up out of the water” doesn’t mean He was explicitly immersed, for when Phillip baptizes the Ethiopian Eunuch, it reads: “And he ordered that the chariot stop; and they both went down into the water, Philip as well as the eunuch, and he baptized him. When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; and the eunuch no longer saw him, but went on his way rejoicing.” Acts 8:38-39 Notice the wording “when *they* came up out of the water.” Phillip was a deacon in the Church, already baptized, and yet it’s mentioning that he came up from the water. Did he grab hold of the eunuch and dunk himself alongside the eunuch? Possibly, but not likely. What this is referring to is them walking up out of the water back onto solid ground. As for pouring, Mark 7:4 makes mention of the Jewish practice of washing drinkware and dinnerware, and the word “βαπτισμοὺς (Baptismous)” is used in reference to this. This washing doesn’t refer to immersion, this is in reference to the Jewish practice of “Netilah yadayim,” in which drinkware is cleaned by pouring water, and yet, it’s referred to as baptism. Furthermore, in an early Christian document called The Didache (most scholars date it to the mid-late 1st Century around the year 70, making it one of, if not the, oldest extra-Biblical Christian documents) in its chapter regarding baptism, it reads thus: “And concerning baptism, baptize this way: Having first said all these things, baptize into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:19 in living water. But if you have not living water, baptize into other water; and if you can not in cold, in warm. But if you have not either, pour out water thrice upon the head into the name of Father and Son and Holy Spirit.” There is explicit early Christian precedence for pouring baptism, though immersion is preferred. Finally, regarding sprinkling, the Prophet Ezekiel says thus: “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and follow My ordinances.” Ezekiel 36:25-27 This is almost certainly a prophecy of baptism, by which sins and iniquities are cleansed and the Spirit begins to work in the life of the recipient. Notice there’s no mention of immersion or pouring of the clean water, but rather, sprinkling. If immersion were the only true form of baptism, there would be no mention of this. Your dogmatic adherence to the mode of immersion isn’t rooted in Scripture or the practices of Christians since the beginning, it’s rooted in your eisegesis of Scripture and ignorance of what baptism has historically been.
Although I do now think baptism should be by immersion as possible, I was in my 20s before it struck me that the verse would mean Jesus came up from under the water. I had probably seen some old painting of Jesus standing in water while John poured water on him. It hadn't been obvious to me.

WAS THE WEST ATTEMPT TO HIJACK JESUS DOOMED FROM THE START? Given the fact that Jesus is not one of the many sons of Zeus, the god of the Greeks, and that the God of Abraham had never promised a Son to Israel but the Messiah (HaMashiak) which the Greek forgers and fiddlers translated as “Christos” as it is written: "I will raise among them the Messiah(Christus)HaMashiak, a Prophet(Messenger) like you Moses, Him they must listen..." Deut.18:15-19; Acts 3:17-24; Acts 7:1-30; Luke 24:25-27 and 44-47; Acts 17:1-3; John 4:24-25, Surah 3:81, etc. Considering that the Gospel that Paul proclaimed to the world mentions JESUS CHRIST SON OF GOD and not just JESUS.
