- Islamabad is a great place to visit in Pakistan with kids! (Or anyone for that matter!). It's a beautiful green city and very 'easy' to get around in. We enjoyed the Pakistan monument and sights of the city and found a delicious lunch at Kabul Restaurant with Afghani style pulao and kabab.
Lake View Park is a great green space in the city and relaxing for family travel in Pakistan as the kids can run around!
And it goes without saying that Faisal Mosque is as beautiful as it looks surrounded by the Margala Hills and visible from all around the city.

keep in mind that its hottest time of the year you are visiting pakistan.at the same time you are lucky weather is fine and it would be like this for next few days.schedule your next visit to cities on plane land and when it gets hot you should plan to move to mountain areas like swat valley and northern areas and possibly kashmir too.thanks for respecting our culture and showing modesty.you can find western culture in big shoping malls of islamabad.atleast one thing is common in kiwis and pakistanis and that is the game of cricket.

The unbelievable part about your kids is that they are always so cheerful, not complaining about fatigue, or hunger, or boredom. I suspect a lot has to do with how they have been raised by you guys.

I always find it entertaining when watching people visiting Pakistan. Whilst not a native, it is my country of origin and I do visit every few years when the need arises. I think your kids are incredibly lucky to have parents as you two, its a wonderful gift you've given them, visiting other countries, truly an experience that broadens the mind.
Well done for visiting a country that's probably not one that in the more developed nations wouldn't normally visit. There's deffinatly some things that are different and take some getting used to vs a more European destination, but for many, myself included, that's part of the appeal.
Your kids are flippin amazing too, well rounded and accepting of the adventure. A testament to the solid upbringing they're receiving from you and your partner. Some kids are almost feral, yours seem to be pretty well behaved.
U guys are very welcome in Pakistan ... Wish u a happy and healthy trip ... Enjoy

Kind of touched by how the shoe guy not only didnt charge you guys but remained so well behaved. I usually just avoid them entirely using any of the other entrances. A side note, the male modest dressing in Islam is supposed to cover the knees, but maybe for next time you visit a mosque. Cheers! 😍
