Wow, this was a long one! Does my ranking match yours? Let me know down below! There's also a link at the top of the description so you guys can participate as well! Question of the day: What video game are you the best at? My answer: Flicker on Roblox!
20:22 I actually came here for this moment for my second favorite character. To me, he's most underrated dragon of the series and the one I feel who has the most potential. But I do understand why not a lot of fans aren't keen on him, due to his child-like innoccence. While I say its nice to see him innoccent, I hope he has a hallmark moment in the series. And I feel like the best way to see his character growth is to have Wren be taken. Due to the ending of Dragonslayer, I am actually intrigued to see how The Invincible Lord will fight back. He's actually a villain I'm rooting for, despite we know nothing about. Tui, LET SKY COOK. LET THE INVINCIBLE LORD COOK. LET UNDAUNTABLE COOK!!!
This ranking, once again, lines up pretty well with my thoughts on characters... except for three. In regards to three specific characters, I would rate: Qibli (High Pretty Good / Low Awesome) - He's got the personality and the characteristics, but he counteracts himself quite a lot when he judges Winter for things that he himself ends up doing without acknowledging said things Moon (High Pretty Good) - Pretty much for the reasons you mentioned, but I genuinely feel like the Mary Sue aspect is apparent in her own PoV as much as it is throughout the second arc. The way how Darkstalker came out of nowhere to ally himself with her was... weird... and the way how her mind-reading exposed both Qibli and Winter's developing crush for her just felt like rushed convenience. Romances in WoF usually tend to be "love at first sight"... but man, that love triangle foundation was slapped down in a heartbeat Winter (Mid Awesome / High Awesome) - Unlike Moon and Qibli, he wasn't given things right out the gate. He started off as being a rude, arrogant jerk, which put him in a rough spot with the winglet. Then, throughout the second arc, he's been put through loss after loss while struggling to comprehend current events, but he also found happiness. And, even when he was knocked to his knees at the end of the arc because of the exile and heartbreak, he ultimately got back up and changed for the better by accepting himself for who he really is and putting his crown aside for good.
Winter is an interesting case when it comes to his character as he is honestly one of the most in depth characters of the series. However due to how he is written, not including the second half of book 10 of which hurts his character, Winter requires one to have an in-depth look at both his character and actions to fully understand him. Something that not everyone is gonna do, especially when people tend to focus on how he acts during the ending and simplify him to just being a jerk. Not helped by the fact that book 7 is considered the filler of Arc 2 even though it isn’t, that honor goes to the first half of book 10.
This one's even longer than last time... 😰. Regardless, I'll try to share my thoughts (one dragon from each tribe) Sora. Interestingly, I think her character in Moon Rising was a great portrayal of the aftermath of the War of SandWing Succession. For some dragons who fought in the war, it's inevitable that some of them had developed trauma. Onyx. I'd say she added an interesting side-story to the Second Arc. I'd honestly like to see more of her, especially her interaction with Smolder. Ruby. Honestly, even though the Second Arc focuses mainly on the Jade Mountain Prophecy, I like how they've added these little side-stories to the main progression. It truly highlights the challenges in making a lasting peace. Ruby's one such example of a ruler who does a great job in overcoming these hurdles. Squid. It's true that Alternates underwent horrible treatment, and Squid arguably got the brunt of it. And I'll be honest, my first impression of Squid was the "spoilt child", seeing by how he brags and complains a lot. But I did feel true pity for him when Morrowseer sent him away Tamarin. What she mainly highlighted in The Hidden Kingdom was how the RainWings, for all their stereotypes, are a community in the truest sense. Something that I think many miss is her lack of self-esteem (an interesting side to her). Being blind, Tamarin will always need help sometimes, so she tries to do her best at everything she can to seem more capable. Snowflake. Ngl, I kinda forgot about her 😅. But there's no denying that her character shows the downsides to the rigid mindset and aristocracy of the IceWings. Being forced to be perfect, always expected to act how others want, she grew hateful of the royal family as a whole. Mightyclaws. From the NightWings, we've seen those fake their powers and see others as lesser (Morrowseer, in particular), and we've seen those who are open to others (Starflight and Fatespeaker), but we never really see something in between. I believe Mightyclaws is a good example of that. He was sort of friendly, but still embarrassed that the status of the NightWings had been exposed. Quite a balanced character, I think Tau. Similar to Tamarin, she is disabled, so she has a low self-esteem because of it. Unfortunately, no one has truly been able to help her with it yet. But what really made her stand out was her relationship with Treehopper. It revealed to Cricket that such "taboos" do occur, and in my opinion, is one of the greatest triumphs of Lady Jewel's efforts to nurturing unity between SilkWings and HiveWings. Wasp. A somewhat disappointment of a villain, although The Dangerous Gift really did add some depth to her character, albeit not much. I'd really like to get some sort of Winglet about her, maybe during them time of the Tree Wars or just before, to get a better sense of why she decided to become "Supreme Ruler of Pantala" Willow. She was arguably an important character, especially to Sundew, in the sense that Willow helped to pull Sundew away from her vengeance, and try to find the better way to solve problems than with just plain anger and violence. Right, my brain's decided to have enough, so goodbye
I watched this just to see where you would put Peril and… You’re now my #1 favorite WoF RUclipsr :D I love Peril so so so much!!! She definitely deserves her spot at the top :3
Of course I made it to the end! Even If it was 2 hours long I would still watch it till the end. I absolutely loved it, and I can't wait for the next video. ❤
Hi Dogloverlikesdoge! Your videos are so awesome and I have some video ideas. Here are a few of them. What if queen Monarch didn't give her tribe to Wasp? What if queen Sequoia gave her tribe to Wasp? The best wings of fire villains.
The annoying parts of moons character (especially concerning dark stalker and the scroll) make a lot of sense and serve to show how truly manipulative dark stalker is even without using magic. I thought her character development was linear and consistent and her rather annoying stubbornness when it comes to dark stalker also makes sense in according to her character. She was so empathetic that she couldn’t see how dangerous he was, and her character was this way in her own book as well, it just felt more annoying when we weren’t in her own perspective
Solid list once again. Other then some slight changes for me (most likely more in decent/neutral or don't know enough) But Sunny is in the very top.. very good. I did watch the whole video
ACK TAMARIN MY BABBYYYY!!!! So, I was watching, waiting for cinnabar, and she was left out 😢. If you have time, let me know where you’d put her and Morpho!! Honestly, didn’t really like Morpho but I loved Cinnabar and Tau. Absolutely love Swordtail and OMGOODNESS WHITEOUT!!!
I actually thought about them, but unfortunately they weren't on here 😭But I'd say that Cinnabar and Morpho would be close to Tau! Probably pretty good
I'm sorry but I totally thought she was joking about Moorhen here. She didn't really do that much in the story and probably got the least page time of any queen mentioned in the series. I guess she does really care about her tribe so that's something but I'd say Pretty Good 5:03. This sounds so sarcastic in a funny way. I guess her conversation with Sunny did show her care for her tribe and her people- I mean dragons.
