That was so Cool. I always love hearing cover versions of my favorite songs. This song always reminds me of going to the York Fair in September.
OMG wow that was great really really great so great that it's now on my favorites five star!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still listening to this in 2023.
That was an awsome tribute to one of the most beautiful songs ever!......thank you so much.

I've watched this video, pretty much ever since it was posted. I've had it in my favorites for some time, because I absolutely love it.
I think you all did an extremely good rendition of this great song. This video equals pure blissful love and energy.
Keep up the great work you all.
Wow!
I like this version, it's beautiful.
Great job boys & girls!
wow, you guys are awesome. you can barely see him, but there's this really handsome short dude on the right side. what a bass voice that man has. the soloist is great also.
This is fricking awesome guys'! Keep us the good work! And Anthony Kiedis has one of the greatest voices out there, because it is good, and it is real, unlike most singers.
Hey there, Alberta, Sask here.
Agreed, a wonderful tribute
Im so glad i came across this video. Well, my favourite song being sung in capella. Hehe.. Really enjoying it. Especially the opening and chorus. Well, 5 stars for the rating..
almost cried! That was beautiful...
Now added to favorites and 5 stars =]
This is a great tribute to the chilis
Well, it's one of my favourites as well, and I can tell you, you've done an amazing job! I especially liked the fills, and the bassline :D it's great, I'm really amazed.
absolutly insane. no words any more
Beautiful! Great arrangements, love it.
i've got goosebumps
amazing job guys and girls! whoa!
Goddamn you guys and gals actually kicked ass. Very well done to all of you, very well sung and I loved the backing music and vocals.
I like all the singers
From a huge peppers fan, I thought this performance was great. I loved the harmony and the funky moves!! :)
amazing singing. really good
I beg to differ. We all thought it was pretty hilarious and that he added a nice touch of energy and silliness to the performance.
Video uploaded in 2006 and all the comments are at least 5 years old. I wonder what these guys are up to now.
All of you guys are complaining about the lead, but I actually like it better. He did it his own way, and it sounds very smooth. Just because he doesn't imitate Kiedis (probably spelled his last name wrong) exactly does not mean he is bad.
wonderfull!!!!!
this is beautiful
great work, great song. thanks for the vid.
The Intro is dope as hell!
this is awesome.
nice arrangement... like it.. nice!
wow, amazing
Lol that was wayyy better than what i was expecting. Nice job guys.
bien hecho cabros, lograron una atmosfera perfecta como para emocionar. los felicito a todos
awesome.
woah dude!
its elvis!
uh huh uh huh thankyou very much
i like it very much guys, that sounds good
I wish I was there
We're not a choir, we're an a cappella group. There are lots of differences, but the biggest is repertoire choice-- we don't do "choir" pieces, we perform contemporary songs arranged for voices.
excellent job!
Exelllllllllllllent!
great!
yeahhhhh!!!! rhcp rocks forever!
this is one of my favorite songs ever... this was covered so well. i rarely comment on things and this is one time where i have to show my appreciation for a job well done
awesome
That was amazing! Great job :D
muy bueno!!!!!
I like the way Anthony sings it in a laid back manner. This guy is singing it pitch perfect, but to forcefully.
absolutely love it! you guys rock! heh
perfect perfect perfect :)
TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!! AMAZING!!!
I dig it, everybody has their own style and the soloists is good (bad spelling) really gonna try and get my choir to do it
I think this is really good, I don't know why people are panning it...
OH MAN! WHO'S THAT DREAMBOAT!!!!!!1111
lol i love the dancing
well done
that was amazing, rhcp would be proud
wow!
... nothing else i can say.
amazing, i love it, too bad the video cuts out before the last note
Bardzo mi się podoba
@underlier I agree
don't hate. appreciate! that was pretty freaking good! i bet you couldn't do that.
My a cappella group sings this, but it's a different arrangement. Not too different though! Great job.
Ahaha
The lead guys
Dancing :)
hahaha awesome.
this man is fabulous! Can anybody tell me when was it shown in Williams?
My first impression was rubbish, but this is great! xD 5/5
dude, i am thirteen years old.
I don't think i need to worry about typing, do you?
Jesus Christ honestly!!
Kid, calm down and get a grip. Lighten up and realize that we're just a bunch of college kids having fun.
this is gorgous (if i could spell gorgous :@) great sound
why didnt you do the bass guitar part too?
sounds like he sings the last verse differently from what I've seen published, but I really can't make it out....
what is it plz tell me!
lol cool!
It's a COVER. Meaning their own version. That should be clear since you don't see a drummer, bassist or guitarist.
I think this is awesome :) and I think that the lead singer is amazing, I don't think it's terrible at all :)
I prefer RHCP's original version as this, but it sound cool.
I think I have a grip. I am also in college and it may sound extremely surprising, but I'm in an acapella group too. Some songs require class. You wouldn't do touchdown dances for a song like Green Day's "Good Riddance," why would you do it to this song?
Good job, but Holy Dork!.....great dance moves.... :P
Something tells me that this would sound better with fewer people.
@underlier he doesn't have the pitch high as Kiedis has.... it's not his fault, i think he couldn't do better than this...
LOL
lolol
"choosed one of my favorite songs" that sounds stupid, its "chose one of my favorite songs, this doesn'[t suck either
no no no, you are wrong and obviously have not seen the video for the original, much less the lyrics. this is taking a somewhat heavy topic and adding the chili peppers to it, which includes silliness. it is not a somber song.. it's more "chill" than anything.
ha this is brilliant. wouldve been great with anthony instead. the beats are great though
the lead singer should not have been the lead singer, everything else is pretty killer
Not to toot my own horn here, but this comment is wildly inaccurate. Top public schools like Michigan, UVA, and Berkley are extremely competitive, as are non-Ivy league schools such as Stanford, Amherst, and Williams. Take a look at the average admissions requirements for matriculating students and think again about the overall quality of American schools.
y wud i wnna du tht?
i cn sing decent enouff but i dnt joiin no gay choir!!
but if tht ur music i hav 2 respect u 4 it!
o yea i dnt mean 2 dis!!
I think he is the definition of a white guy. 3:00 Great performance despite the..."Dancing".
he's good as crap, what are you smoking buddy?
yeah i copied and pasted it off him you tool, note that is the American way of saying it...
At least learn different spelling combinations xD
Didnt really like the lead vocals. everyone sounded great though
the lead singer is way to heavy on it with his voice, the lead singer needs to be smoother and lighter with it
stop singing like old man river, haha whatever pretty sweet though
no it isn't, listen closer
The idotic dancing does not match the melody nor lyrics. Most Red Hot Chili Peppers' songs WOULD need a touch of silliness, but this one in particular is extremely somber and serious.
Good video, but cyn, are you just a noob? I think this is great because there are no instruments and only vocals are used, you wouldn't really understand, i suppose you have a narrow mind of the concept of music, "2 guitars 1 bass 1 drummer and a singer".
to be honest why do you want a good vocalist for this song! Anthony sings it very well. to be honest, this guy is a great singer but he destroys it! sorry folks but why be dramatic when you can be simple.
It was a pretty good performance with good blending and feeling... until the soloist (who must've been the only one to try out for the part) started dancing around like a moron. If I were in that group, once we'd gotten of stage I'd beat the crap out of that kid for ruining the performance.
Well, the background is interesting but it sounds more like a Lion King rendition of the song. The vocalist was a terrible match. Just sounded nothing like Keadis and it sounded like pretentious choir boy singing. Use greater prudence next time. Also, don't dance like a tool.
The lead singer ain't THAT bad :/
