* All links have been updated, none of the old links will work. All presets have been combined into one pack, and made 10x cheaper per pack. Therefore the whole bundle is the same price as each individual pack used to be. Our aim is to give back to you guys, at the best possible price for the maximum value.
In this tutorial I am going to teach you how to colorgrade in the style of Shortstache to give a desaturated colourgrade.

Just skip it to 5:10 and make sure to turn up your volume to max
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DO THIS. i've LOVED his edits for a while now and couldn't find someone to go through and explain the main points. I literally have his website open on my second monitor and I was trying to emulate it for practice. didn't really pan out, imma go try now! thanks!
Matt I absolutely love your tutorials! Thanks for sharing
Hey guys, if you want me to edit your photos, check out my fiverr page! www.fiverr.com/share/QbRzP
This is really not my style of editing but I always wondered how it was done, thanks for showing me.
amazing! thank you so much ❤️
Absolutely stunning
Thabks!
You are so specific with numbers almost like you would look on a second monitor with the same photo already retouched and replicate those numbers on this screen. Nice work though... and thanks for the Instagram suggestion of that guy. Amazing photos!
Awesome very helpful!
great edit Matt
Awesome edit
Just purchased your preset pack to support the channel and the great work you guys do, good job!
Thanks!
Fantastic! Unfortunately I've missed the premiere but I was looking forward to a new video from you!
Great video!
Nice ❤️
Thank you so much
❤️
u deserve a subscription.
love ur content!!! you should make the Top Instagram accounts 2019 into a permanent series.
Thanks man! Yeah totally wikl
This looks so nice mate! Do you have any idea about what kind of lighting we can apply this to? I mean is this sunrise/sunset lighting or is it mid-day kind of lighting? :-)))))
@MATT'n'SEB Have you considered creating Capture One Presets for those of us that don't use Adobe products. I think they would be well received..
Take a shot everytime he says "Kind of". Haha, nah great content - lots to learn from these!
I don't have camera calibration on my LR version, and I have the latest one!
Hey man, great video. This is my favourite style thanks for the tips. Kinda reminds me of Alen Palander, can you make a video on how to edit his style? Maybe some urban or other landscapes
check around the channel, we have a couple of videos on alen palander
could you make your future videos louder? my laptop speakers are at max and i cant hear that well.
you must have some really bad speakers :/
@@michaelfrymus Nah it's really quiet
@@michaelfrymus i can hear other videos fine usually. granted i was in a bigger room but it was still just me. laptop was a bit further away too but usually i can hear normal videos. they should check their audio levels when editing video.
PLEASE
Sorry guys, will keeo this in mind for future videos
The thumbnail got my attention and I was excited to see how to edit like the artist in the description, but then saw how he was scrolling through different presets and almost got disappointed thinking that this video is just another scam that many people do “HoW tO EdIt LiKe [artist name] !!!” using only the presets that they’ve bought without showing the actual content. Fortunately enough he did show the Manual settings for the editing!!! Wow, I went through rollercoaster of emotions under the first 3 minutes of this video lmao, but thank you!
Haha glad the video helped :)
Glad I read this because I was thinking the same
could you make a daniel ernst how to edit please??? thanks!!
He uses gradient maps, along with the curves, to get a consistent look in different lighting/scenes
Gradient maps and curves in what way?
I had to use my headphones to be able to hear you
HI, I really like thi look, but I have one porblem, i use Capture one as my Raw Developing Software, is there a method to use this lut on C1?
12:15 when you increase luminescence it decreases the saturation
This really felt like a result of just playing with sliders rather than a methodical approach. Watching this doesn't really teach much other than copying someone else settings :/
@@_Alex_Sander I half agree, they know how to use LR and IMO a lot of LR editing is playing with the sliders but also having an end goal in mind or at least an eye for it. but them saying increasing the luminescence increases the saturation is just misinformation and pretty disappointing to hear from a LR channel with 111k subs.
Ryan Putranto Well for a turorial it’d be better to explain why you’d make a change and explain the though process behind it. There are millions of combinations of values (even if you were to dumb the sliders down to 1-10 instead of 1-100), so they clearly had something in mind before they set their settings and fine tuned them etc.
Hey guys, in these videos we try and teach you how to achieve the same look as an artist. In one video we don't have time to explain exactly how to use the lightroom software, but we do have a course with all of that stuff in that we refer people to if they want to learn from scratch. You're right we do have an end goal in mind, and it usually helps to have that just to speed up your work flow.
I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video. But just a few tips for the next: speak up, and slower. :)
Could you make next video about how to edit like Peter McKinnon?
Tutorial looked good, but the volume is very low, my desktop is at max and my youtube player is at max and I have to mute the tv and really listen, just to let you know, hopefully next video will be better with volume.
He is one of my fav photographer ever
This what you can do with easy picture?
Bro try it on complicated picture
For mobile please?
Nailed it, haha I'll have to show him this, heading to Guatemala with him in a bit 🤙🏾
Sick! Let him know ❤️
@@mattnseb Oh will do will do mate.
I'd love to check out your own work mate, what's your IG handle?
@northwoods_murphy
@Matthew_gkb and @sebastian_jwb!
Shortcut key to before and after?
in mac is "\" , i'm not sure about window
where's the shortstache's preset?
Make a tutorial how to color grade like @jameasons on Instagram.
Isnt he using Slog3 or something?
More volume brooooooooo!!!
Low DB
I really enjoy your videos, and it gives me a few inspirational ideas, but one thing that would be incredibly helpful in your teaching capacity is to spend a touch more time explaining WHY you make the choices you do. Too often it's "this is what I do, but you should just play around and see what it does". Some more explainer methodology vs just giving your choices for values would go a long way. It's the difference between teaching 2+2=4 and teaching the principles of addition.
Sounds like you're talking from underneath a pillow. Had to max headphone volume, computer volume, download an amplifier app just to hear you clearly.
5:10-18:10 ,what;s the difference lol ?expect color.
"He has a unique editing style" - LMFAO
I open Instagram and everything looks like that.
Hehe, yeah... that made me laugh as well.
spot on
the first 4 minutes killing me...
You just steal his preset and editing his jpg pic which has already edited. with this setting you will get mostly gray desaturated pic. this video is only advertising of presets.
I never understood the obsession with making every image look the same... there are wildly different images that would be much more interesting without forcing them into the same small range of tones and contrast settings. Ever heard the expression variety is the spice of life? Instagram has gotten so boring... not only does every photo in a stream look the same... now all profiles look the same as well, because everyone is trying to imitate that saminess. :(
It doesn't look like Garrett king..
Tutorial is excellent... But just go straight to the point, cause it takes you 5 mins to finally get into the tutorial. Great video tho. cheers.
How you gonna make a shortstashe how to video and not do the RGB curves smh
It's really difficult to listen to what you're saying when you litter your speech with "go ahead" and "kind of" throughout.
