Hey man, just subbed! Great review I ended up picking one of these up shortly after watching your video a couple months ago and I just stumbled upon your channel again. At this point, I’ve used it on everything. It’s extremely musical and surprisingly versatile. Obviously it doesn’t really have a noticeable color to it or anything, but sometimes on mixes it seems to add this extremely subtle width and breathability, probably if anything because the EQ curves and frequencies are so pleasant and musical. I’ve used it for everything from individual stereo tracks to mastering, but I like it the most to shape instrument groups and buses, and I’ve got a lot of mileage on it for that already. Just a super useful Swiss Army knife analog stereo eq, and it has replaced most EQ plugins for me unless I’m trying to do something really crazy 😂
@thePunkRockMix I have a pair of the 611's too. They're similar in the way they provide good, clean, solid state EQ. The UV EQ has different color (or lack thereof) that's intended for broad strokes on a stereo bus. The 611's are better on individual channels. I definitely wouldn't use my stereo pair of 611's on a bus. I've tried it. It of course totally works, but it's not the color or character I'd be looking for on a stereo bus.
@djhlynursolvi oh yeah. Definitely. It has a great low frequency section ideal for bass that boosts 30, 50, 70 or 90 Hz by up to 9 dB! Also, the midrange is where the UVEQ really shines with its two mid frequency bands and focus control - perfect for vocals to help them sit perfectly in any mix.
@NoiseSHome What are you taking about? I own this EQ and I made this video so people can hear how it sounds. This is not a commercial, and I'm reading the script I wrote in my own words and voice so I can be as clear and concise as possible. I make absolutely zero dollars from this video. If you'd like to waste your time with others who don't write a script, fumble over their words, aren't sure of what they're talking about, and film all their errors then please do. If you want to hear gear and learn how it works with no BS, you can come here. But please check your vomit and negativity at the door.
You are killing it with these reviews. Straight to the point.
@outdatedgear5036 Oh man, I appreciate that! Thank you!

You're welcome! Excellent! I think it's a great value at its price point. It's a buy for sure. I wish you the best of luck with it.

@@LesVegasMusicgood to know since I was really wondering which one of those two to get for bus processing. thanks!
They weren’t selling that’s why they went down
@Bothagry Yeah, good deal now! I can't think of many other hardware stereo EQ's for around the same $.
Will it be good for Bass or vocal ?
