- After finishing spring practices away from the program, Penn State receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith entered the Transfer Portal on Monday. It's a messy ending to a lengthy Nittany Lions career and creates new questions at that position. Plus, after breaking down the Blue-White Game with a Saturday podcast, we go in-depth on answers and questions from the spring practice schedule.

It seems that Clifford could be a possession type of receiver. He is physical and he can catch the ball. Penn State needs a go-to guy who can get critical short-yardage first downs to keep drives going. I like Warren too because he has made big catches already. Fleming, Wallace, Saunders, and the other guys have to create the longer, downfield yardage threat. They have to open up the field so that the RBs will have space. Everything has to work together.
Well, it looks like KLS finally found a way to create separation.
😂
It is weird about KLS, because a few weeks ago, we kept hearing that he looked great and was happy for the upcoming season!!! Something happened, maybe he doesn't like the new OC or the new offense? 🤔 WE ARE
It’s also possible the coaches were saying that in hopes of stopping him from transferring.
I just hope we can get a REAL WR from portal or finally recruit one that knows how to play position. Can catch is helpful and running proper routes be nice too!
KLS was the scapegoat for drew Allar being "Not the savior" or a "difference maker" or the 5 star top NFL draft pick" KLS was the whipping boy so no one pointed the finger at the golden boy. Well, the scapegoat gets sent away carrying the sins with him. So, adios.
@@robertkauffman8137 I totally disagree, KLS was rightfully criticized for not becoming a dominant number 1 Wr. And also for disappearing the last half of the season. But in general the blame was on the WR’s as a whole and the fact that they didn’t watch film and didn’t try very hard. But I didn’t see anybody fully blaming KLS for Drew not being elite.
@@jkay8it Nothing but, the WR room is the problem and/or OL is the problem. KLS heard that loud and clear. No one said maybe QB isn't elite. Maybe the 5* QB is too nervous or too timid to throw the ball 5 yards downfield. Not even a question. He is the savior, the golden boy, but apparently he needs a 5 * WR to throw the ball ten yards. He has 8, 4* receivers in the room, baby.
Hate when analysts criticize WR’s when EVERYONE knows the QB sucked.
9 is trash I don’t understand the hype. But if you don’t see what you have in Allar you kinda dumb tbr. The wrs he has can’t create any separation, but I know Penn state fans don’t really know what it takes to win so kinda makes sense 😂
@@Walkdown004 Not a PSU fan but sure
@@lytelime8104no separation for him to throw and he still went 25/2, te room was arguably the best in the country as well and it was also Drew’s first szn starting(he should’ve started in 2022, Clifford’s decision hindered his development imo) he will be better and that’s scary
@@michaelbanze1079It’s baffling that so many Penn State fans share this narrative that your WR’s didn’t get separation. You literally have to subscribe to the belief that every secondary - for every team - were better than your WR’s. That’s just absurd logic. How about the scheme wasn’t great, the running game didn’t fully meet expectations, and the QB sucked (you can call it inexperience if you want). Go watch the all 22 and you’ll see separation when they had opportunities.
so I guess the QB is responsible for the receiver getting open? Or catching the football? Or running the correct routes?
KLS was never great, but he's a big loss because it's late to be picking up someone to replace him. Basically 4 months. Drew needs targets.
Stop lamenting KLS' departure gents. His attitude and emotionalism is not what we needed.
Edit - Daniel, do something with that mop, bro.
KLS is being touted as a big loss, I do not agree he had zero heart just a very large mouth ...
100%
His hashtag says it all about his attitude and member of a team:
"Be the one not one of"
Good riddance.
👍👍👍👍
It is fascinating for a coach renowned to be a great recruiter that he can't get a top-notch receiver to show up at PSU. @lions247, why do you think that is?
Dude, it might be time for haircut , looking mid season messy already !
