My favorite is a mangling of another saying and goes like this: "Well butter my buns and call me a biscuit!" No clue where I got that from but it definitely sounds like a real Southern phrase.

That's because it is, but there were some fringe groups who mention this as an idea.
Overall, potions and liquid magic have been in literature since the Agricultural Revolution, but sometimes we invent things all over again. Like the Agricultural Revolution.

There is also the Chinese version which spread to other East-Asian countries that developed from their traditions with their equivalent of potions being pills instead, and definitely other versions in every culture with slightly different flavors

There’s actual science about this. Scientists wanted to figure out if there was any reasoning behind having a “favorite mug” and anything drunk from the mug seeming to taste better. It turns out, your own perception of the food/drink alters the taste. If you expect it to taste horrible, or you just don’t like it, it becomes worse purely because of this. Dinosaur Cut Sandwich tastes better because it makes you happy. Yay science!

OK, Seymour, the best way I can explain why there are fan versions of a Sans is this:
People saw or played the genocide run and saw Sans, the mysterious, funny, semi cycail guy fight us and say there are other versions of him.
Fans naturally like making alternate stuff of something especially if an alternate version makes sense or can make sense which it does here, people made other versions of Sans cause of the impact of the fight (though this can ignore other aspects of the Genocide run) people see these Sanses, usually in a comic or an ask Tumblr blog and make there own version of the fan Sans.

I think that at one point we were at least partially responsible for building up the cult of creational multiverse theorist believers. We brought up the theory that for every single thing someone ever thinks of that there is a new universe created to give life to the idea, and how dreams are somehow us transcending to other world versions of us, and then had to experience the displeasure of being emailed for literal years after that about how connections and interworld conduits worked.

Yeah, Free Guy definitely does pull that trope off. Guy is literally just a normal dude, trying to be a bank teller in the midst of anarchy, and then everything breaks around him. Our host, Josh, was absolutely obsessed with that movie for a good while, and I don't blame him. You should watch it if you get the chance, it's actually pretty good!
