I've been to many live shows and have watched even more on youtube.. This is the best I've ever heard a band live... unbelievably great!!!
Definitely one of the better bands live, the singers clean and unclean vocals are amazing and they are really performing (not just playing)

drumkid121 My assumtion is they pull it directly from the imput recievers going through to the speakers (Direct line) or they just have multiple mic's placed in various places of the room and just merge the separate audios into one track after a bit of postproccessing.

StrapsChronicles his scream is so looowww !!! everytime!!! when he sings clean... I can hear loud and clear... but when he screams.. I just cant hear anything... wth?!?
It might be because his screams live are a little sloppy sometimes?? I'm not really sure but I do agree! It needs be louder especially when he sang "show them the rope" in legacy
I'm assuming that it's hard for the soundboard guy to find a good balance between the volume for the singing and screaming. And especially since Matty jumps between the two so often in songs!
Maybe its because of the way he hold the mic. When he scream the mic is almost at his nose but he lowered it to his mouth when he clean.

I wanted to see them live bfore now. Matty doesn't sound anything the album, and the back up does the best parts. This proves that anyone can sound grand in the studio. -_-

Dont get me wrong, Matty is an insane vocalist, one of my favorites, and he's really good live. But to me, he doesn't feel like he puts his all into screaming like on the records? Or maybe the records are more produced in a way to make it sound more guttural? I've just heard other screamers live, and they sound like they're screaming with all they have. And to me it sounds like he's distorting the sound with his throat, almost like he's fake screaming. Any explanation?
+DustinBusa914 well live he's trying to save his voice for the whole tour. If he screamed like he does on the album live he would lose his voice early into the tour

He's got no power behind his screams. It's not a diss it's true. He does it to conserve his signing but it just sounds bad
+Bryan Baez I think it's just a live thing. I mean they have to optimize everything so it would sound as good as possible in the live performance, but it doesn't quite work when you make a video out of a live performance. You can feel that the scream parts become quieter than cleans as if there is like a max capacity. Don't know though, just bro science lol.

+Will Holcomb one scream versus the barks he does through out the set. Spencer chamberlain has power behind his screams. Mike hranica, has power, Mattys screams are weak dude. He sounds good on the record, not so much live
+Bryan Baez iv seen Memphis four times, matty is the most talented singer/screamer iv seen live. To say he is not good live is just completely wrong.
+Not so scene I've seen kids at local shows that scream with more power and endurance than him. He's not bad at it, he's just compromised his screams to sing better. That's fine I guess. It just doesn't sound that good.
