Great review. I just got the hs3100 and have to say I'm disappointed with it's claimed 480 watts of power. I just rented a 400 watt yorkville exm400 and there is no comparison with sound and power. The hisense sounds muffled and not very bassy comparatively. I'll be keeping it as not many soundbars have an aux in port which I wanted and the price was good

Hi. Thank you for this video. I am looking to purchase this soundbar this week and I wanted to know how does it handle/process dolby atmospheres content from streaming sites like netflix? Does it recognize the format or spacial audio or does it just resort to 5.1?
Also how well does the bass perform for a small to medium size room. Thank you

Hi! So this doesn't include Atmos at all so there's no spatial audio. Instead, it uses 5.1 which is surround (back and front). When you watch content on Netflix it will use Dolby Digital 5.1.
As for the bass, it is quite good. Great for small rooms especially.

Nice man, you reviewed the Hisense Ax5100g last year, which would you say has better quality overall? I'm debating between that and this Hs5100, I'm aware the AX has Atmos but wondering if the newer HS might have crisper sound.

I did think this HS5100 had better rear speakers this year. Not hugely different but they do sound a bit punchier than last year's.

Is a soundbar suitable for an LG OLED C4 77" television? The soundbar seems small to me.

It is a small soundbar for that TV size. I have a 75-inch in the video and you can see it was quite small. Saying that, it still performs quite well for its size. Depends on whether you're looking for a soundbar to match the quality of the LG OLED C4. That sort of TV, that sort of size, I would look at a more premium speaker system. Perhaps something with Atmos support. But depends on your preference/budget.

Yes you can turn it off. Also dim the display down.

I would go with the HS3100. It is the 2024 model and better.
