@@berserker2551 I mean, what is a synth? Do romplers count? PCI's? This wasn't made with real instruments. I agree there is a line somewhere in terms of vibe and this certainly isn't as dark as a lot of trve dungeon synth, but Fief is a modern classic and it got a lot of people interested in the genre.
Loving dungeon synth! One thing though is when a flute tune is carrying the melody sometimes it lasts so long I kind of am waiting for the flutist to take a breath, But that wont happen because its,.... synth. Nice!
where has been this music my whole life? i mean, i like to listen those ambients musics from ocarina of time, but now i now the name of the genre, this is simply awesome for reading lord of the rings
It's dusk time of a day of (what Romans call) early September. It's the year that will be known as 60BC later in history but you don't know this of course, and it has been a good harvest. The air is a bit breezy but the big bonfires of the Samhain fest keep you warm. Suddenly the food arrives in big dishes and everyone shares. The taste of berries and slow-cooked meat invades your senses. As you sip your jar of mead, you gather up the courage to ask the Druid's daughter/son for a dance later in the evening.
I like Fief because it sounds like authentic music in a fantasy setting. Lots of other dungeonsynth is just that: Synth (Not a bad thing, I like that stuff too)
RUclips figured since I love synth music and roleplaying games I must love this previously unknown (by me) genre called Dungeon synth. Which I most DEFINITELY DO. Damn AI getting smarter and smarter every second.
45:43 Lyrics you are supposed to sing after the Intro: 😅😅😅 I know there's something in the wake of your smile I get a notion from the look in your eyes, yeah You've built a love but that love falls apart Your little piece of Heaven turns too dark Listen to your heart when he's calling for you Listen to your heart, there's nothing else you can do I don't know where you're going and I don't know why But listen to your heart before you tell him goodbye
My issue with this project is its theme of "oh jolly good day isn't it,everythings fine,no worry in me head". Its too "bright",too "friendly, there is no dark dungeon music
Curious, could you please point out when this track begins? I've listened to IV many many times and never heard anything I thought resembled Mockingbird..

the coolest thing about Fief is that every time I listen to them it's like I'm listening to them for the 1st time.
I'm a Jeweler and this background music takes me exactly where I want to be.
A preferred setting to place cuts as it were.
And I'm a programmer 😅
I like the playlist too
Hello good merchant! How many gold pieces for your finest enchanted sapphire?
The finest craftsman in town
I'm a sci-fi reader about dragons and the medieval age, and I love this background music.
A few puffs of ye ol Toby + this playlist front to back = a glorious morning in the realm. Fief Forever

the best dungeon synth of all time
Fief is Baddas
But this is not Dungeon Synth..................
Somebody better tell Dungeon Synth Archives that so they can drop Fief from their list. 😝

I owe FIEF big time for helping me get my masters degree; I've had this on repeat while studying and writing!
Love the dragon artwork!
I love It 🥰
Tales of the Dragon's Bard.
One of the divine catolgues of our genre. So much warmth and soul. Thank you, Fief and thank you Out of Season.
Pure bliss indeed.
Reverse order? An interesting idea!
Play it backwards? 🤔😂
This genre is something else man it's truly incredible
Fief V is really good. A great improvement over already good previous material in the discography.
Fief is an amazing musician
His music is precious 🥰
Absolutely perfect for Valheim. Thank you ❤

This music is perfect. It simply is. Every note is exactly where it should be. It was composed - designed to be beautiful, and, hell, it is.
Powerfull music, awesome!
I think that it's fun that you uploaded them in reverse-chronological order
"Daydreaming Sentry" is high art
This sounds like the renaissance festival on a cool fall day, leaves changing and mead in hand.
wow ...
that music amazing

roman numerals aren't medievil
Roman numerals remained the usual way of writing numbers throughout Europe well into the Late Middle Ages. So, you're incorrect.
and it looks cool
How can you get something wrong that is so easily verifiable?
