I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and put on high blood pressure medication when I was 31, but for years continued to have extremely high blood pressure, my diastolic bp was over 100 for years, systolic 145+. This was despite the fact that I ate a very clean very healthy diet, and I never used salt, sugar, cookies, candy, soda, alcohol or junk food, and did not smoke. One day I bought some sea salt to use for a cleaning job in the kitchen, and then used a little of it on my salmon. It was so tasty that I kept using it. A few weeks later when my doctor took my blood pressure, it was down to 100 over 70, down from 145 over 110!!! I have continued to use sea salt and my bp has remained at 100 over 70 !!!!

my dad had high blood pressure so was told to cut back on salt. Mother took it to heart and would take very little salt. This caused her to have a low sodium attack. She came out OK. I'm pretty skeptical of what a lot of doctors say, let alone the government.

I have had low blood pressure most of my life. Random dizzy spells, fatigue, weakness, intolerance to heat, weight gain, shortness of breath, and my doctors could never figure out what was wrong with me. I had also been craving sea salt potato chips SO BADLY for a few months and every time I ate them and drank a little water, I felt like completely normal again. Started adding celtic sea salt and trace minerals to my water every day, and boom. Back to normal. But when I spoke to my doctors about it, they tell me I am just dehydrated and to "drink more water" which was making the situation worse.
My Naturopathic Dr told me to add more celtic sea salt. Waddya know. Now I'm better.

    • @josephcernansky1794
      @josephcernansky1794 2 года назад

Where do you think ALL of the salt on planet Earth ever came from?!?!?
      THE SEA!!!!!!
It is a geochemical erosion of the minerals called Feldspars over billions of years!! and still happening today! Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium are ALL the different types of Feldspar minerals. I won't get into all the geoscience involved in it, but trust me, if you eat salt from ANY source.....you EAT SEA SALT all the time. Perhaps it is the processing of the salts that these people don't like? Like cleaning and then "bleaching" with guess what? CHLORINE!! The same CHLORINE Berg is talking about that your body NEEDS!! 🙄
Salt is cleaned for the reason that in its raw form is DIRTY. It contains all sorts of other minerals and "DIRT" that people would be turned off by. So, they "clean" it for you. There have even been RUclips videos done to PROVE that "SEA SALT" that you buy contains "SAND" particles. UNDISSOLVED rock minerals, primarily quartzite, the main mineral in SANDSTONE, which is also what GLASS is made from. So, if they talk about "leaky gut" and irritation in your intestines.... Why are they telling you to ingest SAND?!?!? Very extremely fine QUARTZITE that is TOTALLY INSOLUABLE???!?!?!?!?🙄
By the way, if you drink tap water you are drinking chlorine. Not good. In fact, decades ago it was regulated by the FDA to administer 3 ppm in public water supplies to keep the water free from pathogens and help to "clear" it. However, in recent times that level has been increased to 6.5 ppm. Which still does not guarantee to eliminate all cystic microbes in water. But it is TWICE the level of what is recommended in swimming pools! So, if you drink UNPURIFIED tap water.... you're drinking the swimming pool. 🤮
Bottom-line is eat your salt! Get a suitable balance of salts and if you want to pay more for it.... you don't need to... but just send me the extra into my account....I too can make millions from hyped products like "grass-fed" meats which should be dirt cheap alternatives to "grain-fed" meats. 🤔
PS: I don't worry so much about the salt issue. I use a mix of IODIZED salt, pink salt, and potassium salt. I make myself.... since I put the iodized salts back in, my wife's thyroid issues are gone, and it is really easy to add and mix. I never bothered to "purify" the pink salts which are basically just RAW uncleansed salts. And I agree that RAW salts do add a tad more flavor than processed iodized salts and can actually use less of. BUT....another thing is that the natural diets from the "old-country"...the poor peasants did not have salt so readily affordable BUT they could make vinegar. Is this correct for athletes sodium intake:
150-pound athletes (both male and female) who train at high intensity levels should drink at least 2 or 3 liters of water per day. 200-pound athletes should be drinking a minimum of three to four liters, and athletes over 225 pounds should drink a minimum of four to six liters.
At 2 grams per 1 liter of fluid replacement, it's obvious that most athletes do not take in nearly enough sodium. For example, a 225-pound athlete would need to ingest between 8 and 12 grams of sodium daily. That's right, 8,000 to 12,000 mg a day.

The most common deficiency on the planet is Iodine deficiency. Iodized salt is thought by some to have created several generations of Americans who were smarter than the world average, just because they got enough Iodine their whole lives from conception to reach their genetic IQ potential. Now we are told to throw away our saltshakers, becasuse the processed foods are full of salt, but processors ARE NOT USING IODEIZED SALT! America's Iodine intake has plummeted. All these young women waddling around with PCOS who can't get pregnant? That's from Iodine deficiency. Iodine controls estrogen, and Fibrocystic breasts, and probably even breast cancer, are related to Iodine deficiency. And no, seafood doesn't have enough to count. The sea's iodine is stored by the seaweed. Only the Japanese, who eat seaweed regularly, are thought to get the optimum amount of iodine.

I think the people that have died from drinking too much water may have had other underlying issues. I’m sure it’s very isolated cases. I’ve been drinking anywhere from 50-150 ounces of water spread throughout the day for over 30 years and have never had any complications or issues with that. Blood tests also come back normal. I am a physically active person though who has been exercising at least 3 times a week if not more on average during those three decades so I’m sure that also plays a part.
Great video though especially the parts touched on regarding high blood pressure which most people tend to have these days. We know salt is one of the recommended things to avoid to not raise blood pressure. Although I do remember my Doctor saying a little bit of sodium is necessary as well.

I remember reading a study a decade ago that had a crew of researchers go around different nursing homes studying the potential causes of dementia.
Alarmingly, 75% of the patients with dementia were dehydrated, and upon rehydration for an extended period, a majority of them showed improvement in cognatitive functions. 🤯

The first time I went on blood pressure medication it was to drop my sodium levels and I went from being perfectly healthy to being seemingly senile in a matter of days. I noticed this and immediately stopped taking the pills and the symptoms went away. Sodium is vitally important to the brain's function, literally every time a neuron fires you've got sodium and potassium passing opposite ways through the cell membrane.

Many can get heat stroke from low sodium, because when it's so hot we sweat out our minerals. Dr. Joel Wallach recommends putting some salt in your water daily and sipping it through the day. Especially in the summer months. The elderly are the most vulnerable because of salt restricted diets.

During the summer, I'll add 1/16 teaspoon of table salt and 100mg of potassium to a liter of water as a rehydration drink. There's probably other stuff that should be in there, but it makes a big difference.

In the last video I watched you recommended either Himalayan pink salt or Celtic salt.
Does the Baja gold salt have micro plastic in it?
And your other video you talk about how you don’t recommend sea salt because it has high levels of Microplastics

I basically follow the Kevorkian diet, the basic tenets of which are "eat as much of whatever you want, whenever you want it, 'cause we're all gonna die sometime." That includes salt (to avoid a salt deficiency). After all, we all ultimately die of LOW blood pressure - so why not pour on the salt while you still can? Sea salt rub makes a great tenderizer for steaks, so if you're following the KETO Carnivore lifestyle, you need to keep plenty in your pantry. I happen to have several containers of specially curated sea salt I have imported from the Netherlands - the number one country for salt exports.
