I wouldn't say that's the complete story, I bet ya a ton of people are interested in the hobby but not enough to take the plunge and actually do the work and funds required to start, so like for every one who actually started the hobby there are several on the sidelines that don't.
Great info! Thanks for sharing! I've been involved with indie art toys for a few years now. I've done 3D printing, silicone casting, PVC, and even vinyl! Its great to see such transparency with your process!
Thanks for the video! I´ve been 3D printing my sculptures and always wonder how the alibaba pipeline would look like. You gave a pretty clear picture of the costs and time to cover the entire process. Really appreciate it!
Great info! We make toys too, though only 3d printed ones. Really appreciate you documenting the process of getting toys made overseas, and I love your designs.
Love this vids, I'm a young artist looking to get into toy making so I'm looking for as much info as possible and maybe someone to work with so thanks for all the information. And sorry if my english is bad I'm french. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
i created a ton of figures over the years... also printed them in 3d and made forms.. making it isnt the problem.. finding ppl who like it is..
Defo you have to market it like anything.
Nail on the head with that one, mate. Same story with soooo many artistic endeavours I’ve tried over the years.
And when everyone’s super, no one will be

All-in, how much is the landed cost per unit for 1,000 units vs 10,000 units? From manufacturing to packaging to shipping?
All depending on the complex of the figure
hello, don't you need licenses to sell the image of this kind of examples you show?
Great looking toys..you make toys in China or you create on your own. If so can you suggest any 3d printer.
Got them made in China. But there is some amazing 3D out there now
@@collectablecities can you suggest some company name in china
@@vinodhprasanna5993 it’s on our box. The one we use. But there’s load of Alibaba. Just start getting quotes
@@collectablecitiesand how do we get to see your box?
Did i have to do the paint job myself or is it made by the supplier ? Is it include in the price ?
Thanks you 😊
Yes include in the price. Like anything the more colour or complex the design ur the more it will cost to produce
What software do you use?
Cinema 4D but there all the same.
@@collectablecitiesi think zbrush might be better for organic sculpting. cinema4d is better for hard surface modeling. nomad is for ios.
How much did the sample cost?
Not sure if i caught it in the video
They can range depending on size and complexity but something like $280 upwards
