I grew up in Milwaukee back in the 60's. I remember St.Joseph's towering over everything. I was Catholic and lived on the North West side of town.....The South Side was the "Polish Side" of town, but the Latino's started coming in the 70's. In 1970 ( I went to John Marshall High School) I had to make a Mexican Food dish for Spanish Club. I went to this area to get my ingredients since it was not like now, you can get salsa and other stuff in any grocery store. In 1978, I decided to move a little further South, Dallas TX..... I fell in love with "Tex-Mex" food!
