In case you're wondering, the center of a galaxy is generally a supermassive black hole (like... millions of times the size of the sun massive), but its surrounded by large clusters of stars, which is why galaxy centers are so bright.
Even though your first ship worked anyway, the fact that you completely ignored the obvious big arrow telling you the way it should be facing kills me inside. Perception -1
Nah man. A black hole is just a mathematical abstraction used to explain how such energetic phenomena can be caused by the puny force of gravity. What we're probably actually seeing is a plasmoid, causing the phenomena via the much stronger electromagnetic force, without the need for infinite density, or asymptotically curved "space-time"(whatever that means)
Plasmoids aren't a stellar event, black holes have been confirmed, we know that the galactic center is a super massive one called Sagittarius A and it has an accretion disk that covers the distance from the sun to mercury. Any object that could generate enough of a magnetic field for stars to orbit it would be massive enough for it to orbit by gravity as well and it would be bright enough for us to see. The center is mostly blocked from view but we have seen into it enough to see that there are a ton of stars, they are orbiting something very closely and we can't see that thing. Also read up on special relativity, it's very interesting stuff.
The tilting problem the nice try 4 had is because of the positioning of of the side thrusters. Because of their high position relative to center of mass they turn it far more than the ones close to the center ever could. If you were to move them more inline or added another set below that would fix the issue you are having. Remember that leverage is just as important in moving an object as force is.
The directional sensor has nothing to do with the weapons aiming, unless you have fixed facing weapons mounted to either a ship or part of the ship that can turn independently to face the cursor using outputs from the direction sensor on cursor mode. The rotating turret weapons will always try to face to mouse cursor.
The homing missiles lock onto your mouse, not enemies. The ship is built to the right as the arrow indicates, you made it work anyway but just pointing it out.
Federico Aguilera The homing missiles lock onto enemies I think but because he attached it to the direction sensor he made the missiles home to his mouse
You do realise that your armour-plating, main rockets, majority of your batteries and mining tools/secondary weapons are all hanging off of the back of your fuel tank, right? Looking at it sway violently just due to thrust alone made me nauseous.
There tends to be one BIG Black Hole in the center of a Galaxy, and it's orbited by hundreds of thousands of stars, which is why it glows. If you're going to play Explosion Simulator tomorrow, Jon, you need to learn your basic Astronomy.
I wonder what that HUGE ARROW could possibly be indicating.... Also wonder why you have to manually rotate every ship component 90 degrees..... Jon... I'm not asking to be a jerk, just curious. How many car accidents have you caused?
To be fair.... The "test" button should be reoriented to reflect how the ship should be built. That or just remove the giant "BUILD THIS DIRECTION" arrow.
If Jon's ship was a human they would be 90% appendix by Nice Try 3, saved only by accidentally engineering an appendix that shoots lasers around Nice Try 4. :3
Black holes can glow bright white, because of all the light bending around the event horizon (the point where light cannot escape) - that means just above the even horizon the light can escape, and therefore there is lots of light just about escaping. The reason black holes accumulate around the centre of a galaxy is due to gravity (objects with mass attract other objects with mass).
Jon's got a lovely bunch of mining lasers. There they are all firing in a row. Also: "Operation Floaty Downy" Jon needs a new person in charge of his mission code-names.
This game seems absolutely incredible and I hope to back the Kickstarter ASAP. Side note, RUclips seems to have misinterpreted what game you're playing here...
the centers of galaxies are usually super massive blackholes called quasars, wich produce so much enegery that often a beam of matter propelled to the speed of light comes out of it, wich by the way glows so yeah they produce light
Actually, we suspect a supermassive black hole to be at the center of every galaxy. The one at the center of the milky way has been called Sagittarius A* :)
Hey Jon, Maybe u wanna give a look to the early access version of this game, the logic gates and factory option are amazing to try and create pretty awesome autonomous drones :)
Black holes don't inherently glow, but all the matter getting pulled in, can and do, and yes the center of the galaxy should have an absolute shit ton of super massive black holes, and the planet your on, should be a quasar
Remembers me of "Reassembly" or "Istrolid", last one is free and you dont have direct control over your ship, but you can build an armada of ships that have to destroy the enemy...
Yes and no. Yes did KSP is awesome but no cus has no perception when it comes to things like vehicle designers illustrated by him ignoring to arrow telling him to build that way and that he know nothing when it comes to physics mean that if he did he would probably think he would need liquid fuel for solid rocket boosters etc, making it to unbearable for me too watch.
shadow of game But if it was a stream, listening to Jon and Claire's bickering would be hilarious... (Why doesn't that read right? I think my comment makes sense but it sounds weird)
Jon, would you consider playing the game Darkwood. Picked it up for around £10 and its a pretty tense top-down survival-horror game that I found pretty fun and thought you should check it out!
I know this has nothing to do with this video but I wanted to be early, are ordinary people able to play house flipper or is it just youtubers get early access or something
I hate how you have very few series just loads of one-off videos, lots of 1 off games you play I end up watching other RUclipsrs play that said series .
*Won't play Kerbal SP *Will play pre-alpha 2-D Kerbal clone... (Not really upset or anything, any video with Jon and/or Claire in it is amazing) Edit: I'd like to think that Jon made that Kerbal SP announcement once he saw all of the "this is just like Kerbal" comments... Edit: *Every time Jon uses the mining beam "I'm Mary Poppins, y'all"

I know same thing was bugging me so much while watching the video XD
Jon "Perception -1" Goodegg
His inner crab spirit animal took over XP
Thats the first thing I said. followed by "when will jon notice the "homing missles" are going to his mouse and not enemies."
maybe Johns shade blind?
Guille T. this is great hints at how kerbal will go
The core of a galaxy has a large cluster of stars orbiting a black-hole at high speed. So yes it would be bright.
Jack Also, the stuff being sucked into the black hole would heat up and glow in an accretion disc

I feel like a lot of people say this, but I love MATN's comment section. And this is a perfect example of why.
Zachary Miles
You’re either joking, or you some crazy kid. That shits as crazy as flat earth.
“I feel safer underground”. Jon, I think all that Vault-tec propaganda is getting to you

Needs more bridge ballast and pyramids of strength
Your lack of perception never fails to amaze me.

"Operation Floaty Downy" When MATN has a secret job, commanding operations for MI5 and MI6!
I wonder what that HUGE ARROW could possibly be indicating.... Also wonder why you have to manually rotate every ship component 90 degrees.....

Jon loving this is proof we need Banjo & Kazooie: nuts and bolts on the channel
"Bweeeeeeeee!"
-Jon, 2017
Given your apparent expertise in mechanical engineering, could you play Besiege sometime?
Black holes do glow. The stuff getting sucked in gets super heated and glows brightly, often obscuring the black hole proper
This game looks bloody incredible
If Jon's ship was a human they would be 90% appendix by Nice Try 3, saved only by accidentally engineering an appendix that shoots lasers around Nice Try 4. :3
"That was going well until it wasn't" - new channel motto?
Looks really fun.

wobbliness was because the only thing sticking the whole back end of the ship to the core was the fuel cell.
Jon's got a lovely bunch of mining lasers. There they are all firing in a row.

i think i'll keep my eye on this one.
When will Jon realise that the homing missiles home on the mouse cursor and not the enemy
the centers of galaxies are usually super massive blackholes called quasars, wich produce so much enegery that often a beam of matter propelled to the speed of light comes out of it, wich by the way glows so yeah they produce light
In my mind all the logic doors are meant to make your drone fully automatic
You should try Reassembly as well, Jon.
Jon you need to look up quasars. Black holes can be the brightest things since the big bang.
You know those side thrusters caused your drone to rotate because they were off center, right?
So you did just end up with a shotgun and a sniper rifle. No change there then.
Tfw jon plays captain forever remix but it's slightly different and came out some years after captain forever remix
Black holes dont glow but the matter they suck in does glow from friction
legion999 Friction against what exactly?
Did Jon ever have a second look at this?
Looks like Reassembly.
This game clearly took the old KSP saying of "moar rockets" and thought "what if we gave it lasers?"
Actually, we suspect a supermassive black hole to be at the center of every galaxy. The one at the center of the milky way has been called Sagittarius A* :)
I played this when it was a flash game ten years ago.
Was there not Another game like this?
there is, its called Reassembly
Ye Gad! A game Jon HASN'T had his eye on!?
Hey Jon, Maybe u wanna give a look to the early access version of this game, the logic gates and factory option are amazing to try and create pretty awesome autonomous drones :)
Black holes don't inherently glow, but all the matter getting pulled in, can and do, and yes the center of the galaxy should have an absolute shit ton of super massive black holes, and the planet your on, should be a quasar
ive seen some gifs of this game floating around on meme sites like 9gag. looks like it has great potential =)
Well done auto-identifying the game you tube, well done [SARCASM]
Damn it
Remembers me of "Reassembly" or "Istrolid", last one is free and you dont have direct control over your ship, but you can build an armada of ships that have to destroy the enemy...
what was his obsession with going underground where he couldn't manoeuvre when all the targets were on the surface?
There will be more explosions than building (That works well). True or false?
Also,I like that the Laser's Focal Point is at the cursor.
like five times in this playthrough: Just shot through to the bad guys... I'm going to STOP SHOOTING to turn around because,.. Homing missiles?
Wait - this reminds me of when Jon played FTL xD
The center of the galaxy is were the collectors live JON
I've had my eye on this one for quite - ahh shit it's pre alpha
Now you have to play kerbal space program
Please
As a stream?
Yes and no. Yes did KSP is awesome but no cus has no perception when it comes to things like vehicle designers illustrated by him ignoring to arrow telling him to build that way and that he know nothing when it comes to physics mean that if he did he would probably think he would need liquid fuel for solid rocket boosters etc, making it to unbearable for me too watch.
shadow of game oops he is already doing it (amazing timing am i right)
Leonardo Cacciat
shadow of game
But if it was a stream, listening to Jon and Claire's bickering would be hilarious...
(Why doesn't that read right? I think my comment makes sense but it sounds weird)
Kerbal drone programme.
Jon, would you consider playing the game Darkwood. Picked it up for around £10 and its a pretty tense top-down survival-horror game that I found pretty fun and thought you should check it out!
Jon nooooo. Your left right thrusters need to be on bottom or middle. You're tipping the ship instead of pushing.
For most games I have played the middle of the galaxy has a big worm hole
This is so painful, I can only imagine what KSP will be like
A bush from the Island of Borneo Saturday will be a legendary stream of Kerbap
No eye on it, no buy-ing it.
What if the hives are alien citys and you come to there planet and wipe them out
the shots home to your mouse.........lol
So its a bullet hell game with a custom character
It's not that hard to find answers to questions about science nowadays.
I know this has nothing to do with this video but I wanted to be early, are ordinary people able to play house flipper or is it just youtubers get early access or something
Well, I guess I’ll keep this game in....MINE-d...!
Please do more house flipper
Stargate ancient drones anyone? :D
Jon, you can make NEW ships instead of adding upgrades.
Oh so ksp but easy and with missions
9th comment! its the small victories
COSMOTEER...
Some Black holes emit light. And quite a lot of it.
Luckily, Jon doesn't work for NASA :)
im really early so can you say hi john
I hate how you have very few series just loads of one-off videos, lots of 1 off games you play I end up watching other RUclipsrs play that said series .
less than 119 views as I watch this wow I am early
Is it the same dev that made Captain Forever Remix, because it seems like a rip off of Captain Forever Remix
*Won't play Kerbal SP
*Will play pre-alpha 2-D Kerbal clone...
(Not really upset or anything, any video with Jon and/or Claire in it is amazing)
Edit: I'd like to think that Jon made that Kerbal SP announcement once he saw all of the "this is just like Kerbal" comments...
Edit:
*Every time Jon uses the mining beam
"I'm Mary Poppins, y'all"
Paula Lang how is this 2d kerbal? No maneuvers using or countering gravity, enemies to fight, destructible terrain. Yeah, just like kerbal.
10th
Early :)
