Imagine we humans making your own faction
you have to remember we are ealy holy terra which means that the god emperor is here with us now. so they would want to not do anything to endanger him. Then they would more or less do as he says witch is to leave the planet alone or work with us. since if you kill most of us off there is a chance that you could destroy the future imperium of man.

I'm curious why the option isn't available of playing another character after your initial character dies to play out the entirety of a battle from either side.
for two reasons. first on is if i had did that and say were dead as well or where armaed. The other reason is because I want the thrill of the fight, and that there is no second chance. does that make sense.

The only weapon that can truly damage or kill a space marine in this battle, is their own weaponry which non of the us soldiers have haha.
Which is why no one has ever been able to successfully argue Space Marines aren't, at best, just effectively smaller IFV's if your lucky or APC's if you're not.
Apparently they have never faced a true tank killer, if you look at the shells the leman russ tanks use there mostly APHE, and APCR. True tank killers seem to be really rare in the 40k universe. I have a feeling a lucky hit with a HESH or Sabot would likely pulp a space marine, that and plasma weapons would probably be nearly useless VS chobam armor (least for the first couple of shots, biggest issue would be heat blapping the sensor systems).
@@nicholaskimball3035 false plasma guns in 40K for Astartes are stated to be at the temperature of the surface of the sun. Tbey also don't cool until they hit the target as they are in a displacer field. As for Leman Russ they have lots of variants that shoot lasers and such. Go read the lore they have so many weapons that make the US military look weak. The thing the Imperial Guard lacks is speed in their tanks.
@@nicholaskimball3035 true tank killers rare in 40k? What like Melta guns which are literally everywhere and would turn any vehicle we have today to liquid slag in a single shot, or grab weapons which would crush every single vehicle we have in the modern era. Or how about even Las Weapons. Which would pass through even the thickest US armour in one shot. The reason it doesn't look like much in 40k is that armour is so far advanced it's not even funny, a leman russ is not comparable to any tank we have today, 1 leman russ Vs the entire US Armour would be one sided, and not in favour of the US.
@Imperial Commissar what are you talking about? Imperial tactics involve artillery which our modern military cannot even fathom and has anti air and fighter craft which would be able to 1) See every single "stealth" plane we have currently and 2) would be able to kill them before the pilots even had information they were being targeted. The Astra Militarum only uses the Trench and Bodies tactics because the enemies they fight would basically be able to conquer the current earth in an afternoon with no casualties.
The Astra Militarum is better trained, better equipped and has more morale than the US military. So even if, and this is a big if, you could get the US airforce in range the attacks wouldn't even dent a chimera let alone a Leman Russ. In fact based on the canon of 40k a single guardsman could shoot down a F16 at max speed with just his lasgun.
Back to the artillery. US max artillery range is about 22km we know that the Death Strike and Manticore out range this on a continental level and the Basilisk operates at an insane distance in the books so any US artillery weapons would be scrap metal before even getting close enough to fire.
And failing all that the Astra Militarum has access to both personal and field void shielding, as in, no weapon the US can field even up to tactical nukes could even begin to hurt the Imperial Guard.
The US military standard rifle wouldn't scratch carapace armour and lasguns would penetrate everything the US has, Tanks, APCs, Helicopters would be 1 tapped by a gun which has basically infinite ammo and every single man has.
On every single metric the US military loses and this isn't even taking into account the Leviathan mobile command base, the Baneblade varients or any of the other wonderful toys a Astra Militarum commander has available.
Since the Imperium would treat our modern world with, at least what I would assume, more tenderness as we are pre-Dark Age of Technology, for this specific video, I wonder how the Imperium would treat certain nations, specifically the U.S. for its ideologies of universal human rights and democratic republicanism
