Im a projectmanager in a plumbing company. And i did see this probelm for my first time 20+ years a go in Bangkok and Pattaya. Strage the erkitekts over there not knwo how to do proper planing/calculation and job to get the rain away.
Most models better don't even try, especially chinese. It's just lottery. So in case like this don't go into the water, stop. If possible go back, or drive to higher ground. Close your car and call Grab. =) But Tesla is good. Try put to youtube search tesla water.
EVs should be fine until they get a single drop of water inside the batteries or control boxes. When and how the water will get in - can happen at anytime. Bump the bottom of the car once and water can get in through a crack, well if there is the slightest bit of damage water will get in 100% - even on a Tesla. So basically regularly driving through floods will eventually destroy the car because it’s impossible to waterproof an EV for ever. EVs aren’t usually able to be rebuilt, like cell phone they are disposable so throw them in the landfill. In Thailand a skilled worker could spend days or months rebuilding electronics but it would never be covered under warranty.
@@vintageexcellence ev´s are full of damp sensitive electronics..thats why china have areas bigger than whole pattaya full of non working ev´s that are dead..and chinese ev´s are known to rust..they look good thou--like most chinese crap..good on the surface

You must be a well travelled civil engineer, local politician, and possibly in need of a lawyer, with such broad and baseless comments. American I'm guessing.

Wonderful tourist video
The new drains are amazing, well worth 3 years of roadworks and delays 🤣🤣🤣
They've been working on the drains for 40yrs and still no better, still, keeps them in work
I watched them working on the drains along Beach Road for weeks. It was a comedy show.
Never going to solve, rain fall to heavy just got to live with it.
@@wontbelongnow5567 They solved the same problem in Singapore many years ago 😁
At once I saw the photo of the drains , a small car could drive inside 😮
I'm happy that this day I'm was chilling in my room =)

Same every year.
The Sukhumvit River.
This is Pattaya not Bangkok.
Hmmm, all that lovely raw sewage.
I must have slept through all that.
Curious... can driving through deep water effect the electrical system or batteries with EVs?

the pumps on the beach should be running hard. The streets will be cleaned
They should have put some turbines under the roads. They could power the entire town.
Possible the worst sewer system in the world! All that money spent (or stolen) and they haven’t fixed a damn thing!

Man muss noch mehr Häuser bauen und noch mehr Straßen. Alles mit Beton zu machen!
😱
Why doesnt somebody do something about the flooding in Pattaya?!
Why we live in Rayong... No shitty water.
