    This video only discussed right or left. My most hits are on upper side of the paper. I tried to lower a little bit of my front hand then it not hit the target paper at all. I tried higher of the back hand then the band hit my chin😂 I’m very new and so confuse about where I should adjust

    I have a question, in one of your videos you mentioned that slingshots have a shooter/target side, and that on the axiom ocularis the logo was to be on the shooter side, i would like to know what would happen if I assembled everything correctly but I had the logo facing outwards. Is the hole tapered? Thanks ahead of time

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  6 лет назад +1

      No, Diego. The Ocularis hole is not tapered, so you'd be just fine. You just wouldn't be experiencing the grip as designed. The frame is designed to be held with the logo facing the shooter, so you wouldn't be benefiting from the grips on the fork.
      But like most things... whatever works for you! :)

    I'm a right handed shooter(OTT) but my shots fall about 3 inches(grouped) to the left of the target. I need to put a rubber sight on all of my slingshots to compensate for the irregularity of the sight. Am I doing something wrong? Buy the way I have your torque, Scout XT, and the Axiom champ. I shoot really accurate with the torque with a rubber sight sticking out from the frame.

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  3 года назад

      If you're consistent, then simply adjusting the sighting is the answer! 👊

      Sometimes I drill a little hole in the fork and stick one of those little red straws in, from cans of spray lube. Also, I may dot some dayglo nail polish on it.

    Sounds like a stupid question but how would one determine which hand they shoot with i.e. draw hand to anchor hand vice versa.?

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  6 лет назад +2

      Not a stupid question at all.
      First: whatever is most comfortable for YOU!
      A great idea though (with all marksmanship skills) is to draw back to your dominant eye. Most shooters can keep both eyes open when drawing to the dominant eye.
      No everyone draws to the dominant eye, but it's a best practice.

    I thought I saw in another video of yours saying that this falling away with the hand was fine, as long as it's consistent? Like if you flick at the end... Or was that the pouch release? I've seen the GZK guy has a pretty pronounced anchor hand flick.

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  Год назад

      There are shooters who flick. As long as you flick it the same way and do not move it off of the target, it is fine. It does take more work to do this consistently though. The pouch release hand you want stationary with no movement.

    I just discovered that whole slingshot stuff after almost two decades of not shooting one (and having found out, that we did it terribly wrong as kids):
    Is it a bad idea - and if so, why? - to hold the slingshot in your right hand if you are right handed. The idea is, that it should be way easier to hold everything stable if you use your dominant hand as anchor hand.

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  5 лет назад +2

      It is not a problem at all.
      Eye dominance is more important than the stronger hand in general, but the number one factor is what's comfortable for you! Whatever produces consistent results for you is the way to go!

      joker0206 Right. What SamuraiSamoht14 said. Raise your anchor point.

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  6 лет назад +2

      You got a good piece of advice here. Just a small adjustment in the anchor point will make a big difference. It could be the anchor hand as discussed here, still, depending on how you shoot. Some people "flick" the frame and that can throw your shot too!
      In the end, consistently high is great. If you're always high, you can adjust and be consistently right on!
