Removing the discharge resistors and adding the capacitor in parallel does seem to be the way to go, I'm going to buy 2 and use one just for the extra capacitor. Thanks for posting this video.

It's currently the 2nd week of September, 2022 and I saw a video on amazon, where these are still sold and apparently, nothing has changed! ....except one thing,...now, you can buy these little components that are basically the part of a stun gun that does the business. It's is listed as 400,000 volts but some cool nerd did the math and he said it's around 40,000 volts,...which is a far cry from 400,000 BUT 40,000 will still knock a man on his ass and I will take what I can get. You can wire the components directly into this zapper and just like a movie when lightning strikes something, little bolts of electricity crawl around on the mesh!!! I have just received ALL of the components and when I get time, I will wire it all up. I'm also going to be cutting any output resistance and I am significantly boosting the I put power with a 5,000 mah 50c 11.7 volt lithium ion batter that I have that I bought for a nasty monster r.c. truck! It called Kraton,...it's an 8s 4 wheel drive power hungery, man, toy.....I'm fn giddy.
Your cap may have these writings, 332J 1500V = 3300pF (pico) = 3,3nF (nano) = 0,0033uF (micro) the bigger the better micro is the biggest. 123J 2000V = 12000pF = 12nF = 0,012uF. First two digits is the value of the cap. The third digit is the multiplayer. 101 = 0,0001uF, 102 = 0,001uF 103 = 0,01uF, 104 = 0,1uF, 105 = 1uF. The bigger it gets the longer it will charge, the better it will grill. You need the additional grilling power for the big ones, the pesty fly. It sits on a cat turd next second on your sandwich, yummy isn't it? Be aware not all insects are bad but flies and mosquito are because of infections so go get them!

I am looking at buying two rackets soacing them apart to provide space inbetween allowing room in beteeen for an adjustable ribbon of LED Lights plis additional space between the rackets for attractant soaked into a spongue and aligned more toward the center. The UV light will be dimmable and give it performance adjusting, so as not to being over bearring for the gnats and fruit flies as they are my current traget pests. The outer wire spects are enough for larger inscects. Especially honey bees but large enough for Africanized Bees. Also suing a 3 or 4 sectioned sponge to determine which artractant works best for which bugs. Perviously I modified other bug zappers with cutting the housing and greatly increasing the mesh barrel length nearly double. This was for our cows and it provided heaps of dead horse flys, Mosquitoes, flys and other biting flys. I required daily cleaning even though there were heaps of dead bugs on the ground (a relative 6+ pyramid pile on the ground and still required cleaning -- though I tepered the screens so they could burn then fall through. I must search for them for re--enstatement this tear. Thet just weren't adequate for smaller bugs. I once caught a 5 inch moth stuck and deat inside. That required an outside 1/2" grid to stop that access. After this gnat project i want to build a 3 feet by feet bug zapper / solar powered for field use. And next a Bug Zapper plan hangs on an electric fence with a grounding stake and solar powered for the UV light. This will encompass building lot of zappers and should work quite nicely, even keeping the animals in the field. I figure putting up a sign "danger causes COVID-19 and its variants in all unwanted bugs, but i figure they will all buy useless masks. In case they stilk buy the masks I plan on a marketing scheme to mass produce and sell them, realizing they won't work, but that has not been a deterrent for humans, so why not bugs? Does anyone know COVID-19 is all in Caps as doing so makes COVID-19 an equasion and not a name? It equates to 666 as the minus sign is not a hyphen. Plus Roman Numerials, ASCII (Computer numerology -- for the Capitol "O" and standard numbers being the 666 -- Mark of the Beast to fruituon? yeah i needed this before i found this video this just validated me in my quest for more power. now i have 14 2kv ceramic caps in parallel at the output and 4 step up circuits input to charge faster, powered by one of my homemade 12 lipo wich is a bit overkill^^ i'm trying to decide if i should just go crazy and put one of mylarge deadly microwave oven transformers instead :p It's getting so bulky and combursome that i can barely hit bugs and so powerfull i woldn't be suprised if it could kill a lizard or samll animal.
Easiest and simplest mod to do on one is to eliminate the bleed resistor across the grid. Simply find the little resistor that's soldered across the output and snip one end. This probably will save battery as you don't have to continue to hold the button to energize it, but just to recharge the grid.

I bought the ZAPit zapper it does not work at all.
Easiest and simplest mod to do on one is to eliminate the bleed resistor across the grid. Simply find the little resistor that's soldered across the output and snip one end.
This probably will save battery as you don't have to continue to hold the button to energize it, but just to recharge the grid.
what exacly will that do? i imagine it will increase voltage and of course let the cap keep a charge longer but appart from that? any negatives?
@@alexisjuillard4816 The grid will remain charged for quite some time after you unpress the switch, meaning you could get a zap if touching it....
