We need to limit asylum to migrants that are not able get asylum in the other nations they pass through. We are getting people from around the world thinking an extremely HCL country with record low amount vacant housing will be a good fit. This pushes up inequality as people compete at the lower end of the labour market. The people with lower wage jobs are constantly being under valued and replaced.

Each province could do that.

  • @TheTechnoPilot

This seems like an entirely Quebec issue and not on the Federal Government to pay for. All provinces deal with these sorts of issues and when Quebec has a huge landmass, it's not surprising that they will deal with a large majority of asylum seekers. Respectfully but it would seem like Quebec is being fearful of them not having control over their own immigration and therefore fearful about not being able to implement their draconian language laws.
