Just for now the best option is P30 Pro because Mate 30 Pro has a lot of software limitations, keeping in mind Google's restrictions, so all these amazing features are overshadowed. It's a shame!

I just ordered Mate 20 X with 256GB and 8GB. Currently have Mate 20 Pro. Didn't like the P30 Pro that much (never liked the P series anyway) and Mate 30 Pro is to9 expensive at the moment.
I have both...the p30 pro is a great phone....BUT the display on the mate30pro is much nice...the speaker sounds much better and goes quite a bit louder and the camera ,especially video is better and will get much better through upcoming updates...bigger sensors going to help out a lot with this...i do miss the macro mode on the mate30pro...but they r both very good phones 😁👍

Como puntos negativos, sensor de huellas falla mas veces de las que debería, y la grabacion de videos definitivamente no es su fuerte. Su formato de memorias Nano Memory, es dificil de encontrar y es caro en Perú. Afortunadamente, con 256GB de capacidad creo que no será necesario adquirir una de esas memorias.
A bigger battery on a phone doesn't actually mean it will last longer. You have to also keep in mind the resolution of that device, higher resolution mean more pixels to lit, so more power consumption. The same goes for CPU and all that, a powerful CPU will drain the battery faster. I can't see why the Mate's battery would be better than the Pro's.
yes you are half right ! Bigger resolution = more power consumption ! but for the CPU part not really ! There are better CPU on the market , new type of ARM CPU that consume same amount of energy and deliver better performance !

I think the main difference in between is the P series has google services while the mate series don't, the mate series were included in the US ban. I have P30 Pro and wish to upgrade for the Mate 30 pro 5g but chose to wait for S11+/S20+ cause the mate doesn't have Google services which is so important those days.

I am the owner of P30 Pro.. But are you sure that it come with gorilla glass 6? Because i already contact the customer service and she said it just a normal glass.... Which mean it really easy to get scratch mark...
P30 pro is good but still like my old mate 10 more. The reason is p30 pro finger lock is not as responsive and takes longer to unlock than my old mate 10. Another disappointment is p30 pro does not use its full screen size when watching video such as RUclips. The left and right side of screen has black boarder hence its a small screen not the full 6.47inch is used. And yes you can zoom to full size screen but you lose part of top/bottom of video thats not cool. Don't get me wrong it is a very good phone though.
