If the timeline button doesn't show up, just turn the background footage into a composite shot, import the photo into the composite shot in the composite shot editor and work from there.
the timeline is no more I think, now if you want to animate movement you need to turn on Position and the choose the timestamp on the editor bar and move the object that has position on
So how do you make the image in motion stay in place for a period of time and then have another keyframe to retreat the image. The 3rd keyframe I put makes the image immediately retreat without the image staying in place for a bit

Could you please make a video of how to make an image appear at a certain time with an animation? Like it slowly becoming less and less transparent, instead of just appearing all of a sudden.

So I just wait (watch tv or smth) Then when I come back it's at 99%, so I go back to waiting Then I come back and it's still at 99% (its basically stuck there) Do you know how to fix this?
Hey, I'm trying to create an animation where one picture transtions into another and the screen pans to a corner while zooming in, my question is, how do we lock the proportions in the scale setting when adjusting it? It lets me adjust how wide and tall the picture is, but separately, which mkaes the animation zoon look really weird. Thanks
Maybe it's not a true transparent? Often on Google, you'll find images that have the transparent checkered background but that background isn't actually transparent, it'll also happen if you saved it as a jpg.

Mine's on the smooth setting and I've done it quick but when it slides across the screen it's still very chunky and not smooth at all?
