Hey Chuck and Paige and all the rest, nice video my friend. When you mentioned your tile being a little busy, I thought, oh, it wasn't just me. I didn't say anything because I thought you liked it. Lol
The halo around the sun is called a "sun dog", at least, that's what I learned it was called. Some people say it will tell you how long it will rain.
Darker tiles with rough surface for the floor to mitigate slips, with dark grout to avoid them looking dated too quickly. Walls can be lighter, no pattern or make a pattern out of plain tiles otherwise it gets very busy as you have noticed with the kitchen floor tiles. The white grout will get dirty very quickly and you'll be cleaning it constantly which wears it out quicker and it'll need redoing.

I'm really enjoying your build segments. Thanks for sharing them. I'm in a similar situation in Udon. I think maybe I'm more OCD than you are about 'clean'. 🙂I do textured tiles on the floor, since I'm worried about slipping, especially in the shower. For walls, I use gloss tiles since I want them to be as easy to clean as possible. I could be wrong, but I think a textured wall tile would be a pain in the posterior to keep clean.

Morning Chuck Paige & Family! It's ok Chuck; the end result is that it looks fine. Southern California prices, the concrete work would be a minimum of $5,000 or more. OMG! Are you kidding me, why am I still living in the States? Enjoy sharing the renovation project with you from start to finish, the planning, preparation, actual work to finish. Chuck, I added a bathroom to the thai style house that I live in. I regret not putting in small bathroom style sliding window. We had an exhaust fan installed. I wish we had natural ventilation without running the fan. I'm thinking about cutting a window in now.

When you spend your time traveling and going from hotel to hotel I refuse to carry a coffee maker around in my backpack, just to have black coffee. Sorry this bothers you but they do sell a lot of this coffee obviously for a reason. I never see a bunch of people that drink three in one coffee chastise people that drink black coffee, I don't think it really matters 😉 have a nice day.
I know what you're going through, as a craftsman you shouldn't look too much. In Thailand you really have to show how you want it, otherwise they make it as easy and practical as possible with the tools provided. They are good people! we just have different views on some things, there are big differences in our lifestyles and what is important in life What may seem obvious to us is completely irrelevant to them
The front area looks so good with the concrete. Your improvements in the bath rooms will be a nice change. It is moving fast.....only need to pick them out. Great changes to the whole property.😊

As someone that works for a floor underlayment company/concrete company you couldn't even get the concrete for that price in NW Florida. Hell you couldn't even get a 75 SqFt balcony for that price.

exactly what I was thinking...they will NEVER match the tiles, might start out that way but lunchtime Leo or just forgetful. Usually they can't really be matched right, I was watching him try to match those, seemed only 2 patterns. Might be missing one or two. The stuff they have in the front of the house is perfect. A nice border helps too. Too late now huh. It's not so bad, seen worse.

Amazing how much cheaper it is to have stuff done there. I need to plan another trip to Thailand. I pay thousand a month to live in Southern California and it seems the standard of living here just keeps going down.
