I just want to point out that the Library Update is out! This update for Electroblob's Wizardry added so much new stuff, and changed a few things! That is all.
Hi, I want to combine this mod with Mowzie's creatures. Can you make video for some weapon related mod? I mean some more powerful armor and swords... Btw cool video, keep it up!
Hay✋!!! I have good idea!! What if you did the second part with new mobs and MAGIC BOSSES!!!????!!! 😉😄👍 Orcs, Trolls, any kinds of Dragons, Devils And more MAGIC creatures.
No forced jokes. No ridiculous voiceovers from people who took success to their head. No overlooking any key aspects of the mod. Just straight up information and keeps on topic. That's how I expect a mod showcase to be.
this looks like one of the best magic mods ive ever seen, none of that super grindy nonsesne, none of that "you must make this specific item then fuse it with this other item while also standing at y=54 during a thunderstorm at exactly 4:53pm after 53 days have passed to be able to cast a spell that speeds up time by 2 seconds", its straight to the point, makes sense, and looks really rewarding, as well as giving the player new structures and enemies to fight as to not make it feel too over powered, 10/10
Yeah nothing wrong with making a spell challenging to make or do but if you make it too specific it's just gets boring And why do I feel like your talking about Ars Magica
I remember watching "The Legend of Hoody" or something like that when I was younger. It used this mod. I got so excited when the video started and I saw that tower, the light beam spell, all those memories came flooding back.
Damn, this mod spotlight contains everything: -Complete and detailed information about almost all the mod's content -Fantastic editing and good background music that changes with every part of the video -Humor and nice references (Skyrim and Duck Tales). Once again you have done it, good sir. Thanks textConjure for doing the best Mod Spotlights there are...
Like the henry tick mn? The guy who spends 1 hour of walkthrough and telling to: Like the video, support the video, follow me and blah blah blah. Wait how does that video have 2klike??
Here's some additional things in the mod that I experienced when I was using it. Metamorphisis - while picky about its mob target - can allow you to get some more exotic, or not-so-exotic mobs to show up. Zombies can be cycled between Husks and vice versa (As this is 1.12.2, the Drowned didn't exist yet, since they came along in 1.13). Pigs can be cycled between Zombie Pigmen and vice versa (Accidentally clipped a Zombie Pigman while fighting? Just metamorph it and its pals into harmless Pigs) Slimes can be cycled between Magma Cubes and vice versa (Can't find one or the other? Force one to exist, by finding its counterpart). Skeletons can be cycled between Strays, Wither Skeletons, and themselves (Want Wither Skeleton Skulls? Change an enemy Skeleton into a Wither Skeleton for more rolls). Chickens can be cycled between Bats and vice versa (Make those bats finally useful...or make those chickens less useful). Cows can be cycled between Mooshrooms and vice versa (Finally: A renewable source of mushrooms on the fly. You'll still need to zap the Moobloom to make it brown, though). Spiders can be cycled between Cave Spiders and vice versa (Found a Cave Spider Spawner in a mineshaft? Take the venom out of their fangs). Dart's ability to inflict a target with Weakness negates the need to strike Zombie Villagers with a Splash Potion of Weakness, or Arrow of Weakness. Hit them with a Dart spell, and you can administer a Golden Apple right away! The alternate spell option is Earthquake, but that's a Master Spell, and damages the Zombie Villager way more than Dart does. Possibly due to an oversight by Electroblob, Shrines and Obelisks generate on the roof of the Nether (Unless this was patched in the most recent update). If one were to use some form of method to access the roof of the Nether (Or find an accessible block of Netherrack in place of Bedrock), they can find many Obelisks and Shrines up there. Although they are still relatively spaced out, for the most part. Elemental Wands (That is to say, any wand that is NOT the Magic Wand) have an "Elemental Potency" on them that is based on the element of the wand itself. As the wand is levelled up, this potency increases and makes lower level spells of that element more potent. That means that lower level spells of the same element can inflict more damage, or have a better effect. For example, the Mine spell can excavate more stubborn blocks if it's on an Earth Wand with high potency (There is also an artifact that makes the Mine spell have a Silk Touch effect, meaning you can itemize Stone and Glass freely). And so because of this "Elemental Potency" effect, it's not unreasonable or illogical to have your elemental wand attuned to only spells of its elemental type, since they will benefit the best from the source wand, as it levels up. This wasn't completely covered on the video, so I figured I'd mention it here. While there are Elemental Crystals, these can only be acquired through looting. The base Magic Crystal is the only one that can be found by excavating things. Additionally, to excavate the ore itself, you need at least an Iron Pickaxe. Anything less than that, and you're going to have a rough time. Therefore, the Crystal Flowers are a good start, if you really want to get into it quick. I think Crystal Flowers have a small chance of being grown, when you use bonemeal on grass blocks. As long as it's a valid biome, of course. Following the recipe that creates a Magic Wand, you can substitute the Magic Crystal for an Elemental Crystal of any kind, to make a Magic Wand of that elemental type. For example, to make a Necromancy Wand, you can follow the blueprint of a gold nugget, stick, and crystal, but the crystal is instead a Dark Crystal as opposed to a Magic Crystal. Summoned mobs can be affected by your spells, too. Be this your aggressive spells, or your healing spells. If you're not careful, you can hurt or even kill your own summoned mobs (None of them drop XP or any items, so there's no real advantage to doing this). Inversely, you can heal your own summoned mobs via Heal Ally or Group Heal, to keep them alive during a large fight. Such as when you're taking on a Shrine. Mobs that were summoned by an enemy can also be affected by Mind Trick, and even Mind Control. So if an enemy wizard summons a Wither Skeleton to chase you, you can use Mind Control and turn the Wither Skeleton on the enemy Wizard instead! Additionally, summoned mobs can also be affected by Metamorphisis. So for example with the Skeleton Legion, you could use Metamorphisis to change the bowmen of the legion into Strays, and the swordsmen of the legion into Wither Skeletons for slowing AND withering capabilities. Think outside the box! There is also an artifact that will automatically change summoned Zombies into Husks, and summoned Skeletons into Strays to basically do the job for you (They can still be altered via Metamorphisis however, if necessary). Another detail about summoned mobs that was not mentioned in this video: They can be commanded. It's a little finicky the last time I tried it, but if you approach one of your summoned mobs, crouch, and right-click on it, a small indicator will appear above the mob. This means that it has been "selected" by you. You can do this again to de-select the summoned mob. If you approach another mob that isn't summoned by you and crouch-right click on that, then you order the selected summoned mob(s) to target and attack that mob. This helps for prioritizing targets, although it can be a little hectic to do in the heat of the moment and easy to forget. It will also help bring your summoned mobs that have wandered off back into the fight.
If you don't have Baubles installed, you can use artifacts by placing them in your hotbar. This was mentioned in the video yes, but I should point out that only the first 2 rings, the first amulet, and the first charm on your hotbar will be active. And "first" refers to the leftmost instances of those artifacts. So if you have an amulet in slot 3, and another in slot 7, only the one in slot 3 will take effect. The Conjure Block spell creates spectral blocks, and while they disappear over time, you can also manually remove them yourself, by crouch-right clicking on them with the spell selected. Beats having to wait because you accidentally mis-clicked. Be warned: Using Mind Control on a mob that's capable of attacking, will make it target *any* other mob that's close to it. Even passive ones like Sheep, Rabbits, and Villagers. And in the case of the latter, you really don't want to use it in a Village. Especially if it can do a lot of damage. Summoned mobs that attack other mobs will count as an attack from you. This means that if your summoned mob hits a Zombie Pigman, and the Zombie Pigman kills the summoned mob in retaliation, the Zombie Pigman will then turn its attention to you. Be careful when using them in environments like the aforementioned. I think if you hold F3 and press H to enable Advanced Tooltips, you can see a wand's physical upgrade progress if you mouse over it in your inventory. That is, if it doesn't do that by default. Wizard Towers that inhabit a Hostile Wizard also have a chest of supplies inside them. Neutral Wizards you trade with will also become aggressive, if you attack them, or excavate any block that belongs to their tower. Even torches. Getting sufficient distance and breaking line of sight will remove the aggro, and you will be allowed to trade with them again, as normal. Neutral Wizards will also attack most hostile mobs that they encounter. A Wizard has like a 10-20% chance of belonging to any of the 7 elemental types. The remaining Wizards will be non-Elemental or just simply Magic as default - the blue-and-yellow robed types. A Wizard that is an elemental type will typically have spells affiliated with that element (This means both the spells that they can sell to you, as well as the spells they can cast in combat). Wizards that are not a part of an elemental type will randomly have spells from any and all elements. There were two items not covered in the video. One is a Purifying Elixir, which is said to remove curses when consumed, and leave you with a glass bottle after doing so. Unless the latest update patched it to make it live up to its claim, this elixir currently does not work right now. The other item is an Astral Diamond. Astral Diamonds are uncommonly found through looting (But only looting. Not mob drops). These are coveted by Wizards for trading, and are essential if you want to purchase something of a master-level from them. Be it a Master-level wand, or a Master-level spell. Outside of that, they have no other purpose. You can also make mana flasks for on-the-fly recharging. There are three types of mana flasks you can create: Small, Medium, and Large. The small one is crafted by surrounding a glass bottle with 8 magic crystal shards (These can be obtained in Obelisks and Shrines, or you can simply place a single Magic Crystal in your crafting workbench and break it down into 9 shards. This process is NOT reversible). The medium one is crafted by surrounding a glass bottle with 8 magic crystals (Elemental Crystals might also work for this, but they're usually better allocated to something more worthwhile, due to their limited supply). The large one is crafted by surrounding a glass bottle with 4 grand magic crystals that are orthogonally adjacent (Horizontally and Vertically) to the glass bottle. If you anticipate yourself going on a large grand-scale adventure and have no idea when you may be back, then you may want to make some of these in advance, since the only other way to recharge your wizarding gear is via an Arcane Workbench, or (In the case of wands) a specific few wand updgrades. Granted, you can use Arcane Workbenches in Wizard Towers to recharge, but having a disposable solution to the problem isn't a bad idea either, in the event that there are none around you. To use a mana flask, simply place it and the arcane item you want to recharge in your crafting window to charge the item up. As a point of reference, a full suit of Wizard Clothing offers the same protection as a suit of iron armour. A full suit of *Legendary* Wizard Clothing (Clothing that has been upgraded with an Arcane Seal of Protection) offers the same protection as a suit of diamond armour. That's about as much as I can remember, right now. Anything else, you'll have to find out on your own. (RUclips said my comment was too long, so I had to split it)
You, AsianHalfSquat and some others are the only ones who are keeping the mod showcase scene alive! I missed when mod showcases were more popular back then.

@@textConjure Thanks I needed this mod review for rlcraft because rlcraft has this mod I have been subbed for 2 months now plus ur content reminds of the old days of Minecraft
This is my summarry of what i think each type of spells should be used for: Fire Spells: Mostly for one on one and dealing with a small group of hard mobs, for dealing damage overtime Ice Spells: Mostly for small groups of any strength, for defense, for escaping Lightning spells: Definitely for crowd control, dealing with large hordes of enemies Earth spells: For easier and faster movement, usually use in certain circumstances, use to apply horrible effect on your enemies Sorcery Spells: basically replaces all the utilities in Minecraft then adds more, usually for avoiding or escaping conflict Healing spells: heals, for defense and evasion, the "support class" Necromancy Spells: also for evasion of conflict, good against small groups at any strength although is better for just one mob, the sort of spells which always has another trick up its sleeve
Oh My GOD! This video is absolutely massive and completely unexpected. It makes sense since this is a big mod but id never thought you would cover something like this. Thank you! We all appreciate this.
I love the D&D inspirations and dedication in this mod! It adds something that I feel like Minecraft could really add, and on the D&D side of things we have spells that are both familiar and new (Snare, Light, Etc.) Update: This mod is so cool that I'm incorporating it into a Minecraft D&D 5E system I'm making.
This mod looks so cool and with friends u could pvp and battle for awards like a new spell or artifacts it's a whole new level of PvP I haven't gotten the mod but I hope to get it. Now I feel like this comment was off topic so I'ma stop talking

now this is what a good showcase is, not just starting with annoying loud intros with overused music and only showing the looks of some items and mobs, this showcase is legit 46 minutes like a documentary with actual in-depth explanation too bad this channel doesn't upload that much but *quality over quantity!*
So many spells in this reminded me of skyrim (for example the Spectral wolf being like a familiar), or just D&D in general. Then this happened: 28:05 . I could not be happier.
I am a person of bad humor, and is easily overwhelmed with a lot of things, so I like watching subtle and less "thrilling" videos, heck I cannot even play Outlast even at the first chase it aches my heart. So as people wandered here in this video, so am I that we have the same thoughts. This showcase is very good, it doesn't annoy me or make me feel left behind for not getting the pun or jokes thrown at me out of nowhere, just pure information and smooth transition. Good job sir! you deserve my subscribe.
I know, I am myself a bedrock edition player, it's pretty limited for the mod and we get the update late. But I try to buy a pc so I might have one, or at least one day.
1. Sorry to be a grammar Nazi, but it is Electroblob. 2. On the page where you download it, theres a comment section where people do Q&A, on that, someone asked if he saw it, and he said he did, and he said it was in depth. :D
Imagine you master all of necromancy spells, build yourself a large dungeon consisting multiple floors, fill the dungeon with your minions, then change your username to AINZ OOAL GOWN!
This mod is pretty solid especially the healing magic it's like the paladin class in rpgs I really want to see groups fighting each other with this mod and a minecraft rpg dungeon type of server with this mod would be awesome
Saincx 0m9tn the game has potions, dragons, and other spell casters already (the illager) how does this not feel vanilla. This game desperately needs more roles, as there isn’t really any right now. No armour to spec into something, no variety in weapons. Minecraft needs a big overhaul in combat and build variety.
I love this mod. Just so much depth in it. Also there is some addons for it that add more spells, and one of those is actually adds spells from twilight forest . And I love how configurable this mod is. Don't want to use your wand one million times just so you can finally upgrade it? No problem! P.S. Keep up the good work, mr.textConjure, absolutely love you channel
i dont normally like magic, but the way you have presented makes me want to try being an ice mage (the music fit perfectly) your videos are so damn good.

I like this mod! Don’t get me wrong I love Complex Magic mods like Thaumcraft and Astral Sorcery (they make Magic feel like an actual Science that takes lots of study and practice which I like) but every now and then I just want to pick up a Wand or a Staff and throw a couple of fireballs.
I just want to point out that the Library Update is out! This update for Electroblob's Wizardry added so much new stuff, and changed a few things! That is all.

Anything else, you'll have to find out on your own.

thank you! 🙂
This is my summarry of what i think each type of spells should be used for:
Fire Spells: Mostly for one on one and dealing with a small group of hard mobs, for dealing damage overtime
Ice Spells: Mostly for small groups of any strength, for defense, for escaping
Lightning spells: Definitely for crowd control, dealing with large hordes of enemies
Earth spells: For easier and faster movement, usually use in certain circumstances, use to apply horrible effect on your enemies
Sorcery Spells: basically replaces all the utilities in Minecraft then adds more, usually for avoiding or escaping conflict
Healing spells: heals, for defense and evasion, the "support class"
Necromancy Spells: also for evasion of conflict, good against small groups at any strength although is better for just one mob, the sort of spells which always has another trick up its sleeve
Also necromancy has the most summon spells
I think i’m not sure

I love the D&D inspirations and dedication in this mod! It adds something that I feel like Minecraft could really add, and on the D&D side of things we have spells that are both familiar and new (Snare, Light, Etc.)
