Definitely a very entertaining video!!!!! Such amazing fishing, scenery and of course the editing!!! Way to go Ali on your first 2 fishies!!! Such a dream trip for all of us. !!
Such a great video man. From the fishing action, to e-meeting your girlfriend, to all the funny shit that went down, and to the choices for music for this video it was just top notch. Great job dude!!
Hell yeah brother! Love that feedback! So glad you enjoyed it. I'm still laughing at some of the shenanigans. Such a once in a lifetime experience. Thanks man!
Such an awesome video! The scenery was beautiful and those catches were quite something, especially the stingray and Alianne 's fishes. Over-all a great video, the tips at the end were a nice touch too 👌
Thanks Ron, deff an unreal trip, glad you enjoyed the video. It was cool to experience something a little different then the usual. See you out there soon!
Watched this today, great vid ! Looks like you definitely had some challenges, but you’ll be better prepared next time. So will l , thanks to watching this. 😊
Thanks Rob! Bit of a light setup but it's all I really had for travel rod. Still got in some fish and had a hell of a time though, as you will on your trip as well. Cheers man!
Jeez that's some awesome footage. Always wondered what it would be like to fish tropical like that. Can't get too mad losing a bunch of tackle and breaking rods while out in the Bahamas haha. Congrats to your gf catching her first fish, got my wife on her first out the kayak this season and it was amazing to witness. I'd be so tempted to eat a bunch of those ocean critters 😎🔥
Thanks brother, really glad you enjoyed it. It was an unreal experience not knowing what you were going to pull out next. Super proud of the gf, she killed it for her first time. Would have loved to do a catch cook but didn't really have the tools necessary. Appreciate the support brother!
If your wondering, the fish that grunt are called grunts and the fish at 12:52 is (this isn’t the real name but it’s what we call it) called a “pudding wife”. And at 15:31 that’s a squirrel fish. Me and my family go to the Bahamas a lot, some of the best fishing I ever ever done, that looked like an amazing trip 👍
That's a major compliment, really appreciate that Doyle! Glad you enjoyed it brother! Such a fun one to live and put together haha. Some of them teeth tho🤯
You gotta learn your carribean fish, bruv lol. First fish was a yellowtail snapper. The nexr bunch of fish you caught after the stingray were grunts. Then a wrasse. And then a big eyed john.....looks like you had fun though. Love from a Bahamian.
😂😂Bro I didn't realize how wrong I was until I started getting comments haha. Much love for checking out the video though, and thanks for letting me know!
Awesome video and tips about fishing from shore. The Bahamas are of our favorite places to go to for our vacation. The rocky shores hold more fish than the sandy beaches. For the Barracudas you'll need steel leaders next time. Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Thanks so much for checking out the video! Such crazy fishing down there, you really never know what you are going to catch aside from the unreal scenary. After realizing 50-80lb fluro wouldn't cut it, steel leaders were my next thought haha. Appreciate the support!
I highlight the bait used throughout the video, and also at the end in my hear breakdown. Squid worked quite well, and also the lures I had brought down. Thanks for checking out the video
Your "pineapple jack" was actually a yellowtail snapper. Shame you couldn't keep it, those things are one of the most delicious and highly prized fish in the Caribbean. Also an expensive fish if you find them at a restaurant in Florida or something
Good old pineapple jack😂 Actually really appreciate this comment man, very informative. As if it was a yellowtail! Never tried them but have heard how delicious they are. Thanks for letting me know, and for checking out the video!
@@TheBigFishEnergy no problem! You actually had a nice little assortment of grouper, snapper, wrasse, and blue striped grunts. Typical reef fish down there. I'll be there next month looking for bonefish and Barracuda on my fly rod before going offshore for sailfish and whatnot. By the way, that wrasse is also called a "slippery dick" no BS. You can Google it 😆
I figure I had some sort of assortment like that. Super awesome. I had really wanted to do bone fish or some sort of day trip just couldn't afford it. Still nice to cast some line either way. Best of luck on your trip! Slippery dick 😂to good
God I wish any day now haha. So proud of you, and the coolest fish to boot! Thanks for your constant support, so glad I got to share my passion with you!
Wow, awesome video man! What a place to fish that looked incredible. Going back, what lb test would you be using for your main line and what lb for your leader? I hope to copy you 😁
Hey Cody! Tha ks for checking out the video brother, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was running 50lb braid and 50lb fluro for leader. The fluro still wasn't enough for some of those teeth😬if I were to do it again, I would go with a heavier action travel rod, slightly longer, and a slightly bigger reel. Other then that, such a killer time man. Thanks for checking out the video!
…you should put together a short little montage with the footage of the resort and see if they are at all interested in updating, their surely outdated advertising material they have 😊
Good advice man, I don't really have a bunch of footage from the resort though, it was more just fishing footage and surrounding area. I'm sure I could put a little something together though. Hope you enjoyed it!
@@TheBigFishEnergy yeah I love it there I went one time a few years back and I was too young to fish and were thinking about heading back so I’m stoked
Surprise, your grunting fish is called a " Grunt" fish. The big eye fish is actually a shallow reef fish called a Big Eye Red Fish. Commonly called a Big Eye John fish in the Bahamas. It is not a snapper fish.
Definitely a very entertaining video!!!!! Such amazing fishing, scenery and of course the editing!!! Way to go Ali on your first 2 fishies!!! Such a dream trip for all of us. !!

Amazing this video is a vibe ! So cool to see some fish that we aren't use to. Wicked video brother !
Ehhh thanks a ton jonny, glad you enjoyed it brother! Such a good time tobe able to do that out there! Different world for sure

The pineapple is called yellow tail back home and good fish to eat
I've been told they are delicious! Thanks for letting me know and also checking out the video🤙🏼
Pineapple jack aka Yellowtail Snapper really good eating.
Thanks for checking out the video Carlos. Good to know about the snapper. Would have been cool to catch a few more and have a cookout

😂😂Love this. Maybe next time I'll pack you in my suitcase brother. Glad you enjoyed it!
That’s a yellow tail snapper buddy
Cheers brother!thanks for letting me know
That's a yellow tail snapper at 4:30
Thanks for letting me know! Darn, should have kept him for dinner!
And the big yellow and blue grunting fish is called a blue striped grunt
Haha cool, I figured grunt was somehow part of it
The big eyed one is called a big eye John and they’re delicious
That's awesome good to know, thanks brother!
The fish your gf caught was a yellowtail snapper
Dam that would have been good eating I should have kept it
What part of the island were you on? East west and what part?
We were on exuma! My god what a place. It's so nice to have this video as a memory alone. Thanks for watching!
@@TheBigFishEnergy yeah I love it there I went one time a few years back and I was too young to fish and were thinking about heading back so I’m stoked
@wesott0824 fishing is absolutely insane down there, different world. Super jealous, enjoy your time there!
@@TheBigFishEnergy did you do any surf cast fishing down there?
@wesott0824 just what was in the video. It was tricky enough with the travel rods I had. A medium rod was no match for some of the fish I was catching

Awesome man, thanks for letting me know. The world of saltwater fish is a new one to me. Cheers
What’s the rig setup you use called?
Hey my friend, are you referring to the bait rig with the weight and float? If so, it is called the santee cooper rig
@ thanks
The orange one is a parrot fish
Thats pretty cool. Such a variety its nuts
where in bahamas were you guys fishing
We were in Grand exuma. Such an unreal place
@@TheBigFishEnergy It's called Great Exuma.
