The boss loses health at the end of every damage phase. I don't think it was ur slugs because it kept happening on my play through as well and I had no continuous damage.
For me, easier to run arc hunter with thunder lord and star eater for damage phase here, meanwhile for the dungeon I would just run liar’s handshake or assassins cowel.

Are you une phasing the boss?
@@joaomatos6598 it’s close to it but I’ve never tried to one phase on my solo runs takes too much time
