It's 2022 and I had one of this since 2010 (bought new). It was the most reliable car I ever had - only changed head bulbs, battery and tires. Engine was MR20DE - simple and reliable.

@@MrWWEHD17 I never had any oil consumption issues on MR20DE. Since I had the car new I followed a pedantic routine and I made sure I break in the engine properly. I was always doing the service on time and used the best oils available for the engine (ACEA A3/B4, MB 229.5). The engine saw mixed motorway and city driving. It also saw some german motorway driving with speeds of 160+ km/h. When I sold it with 100k km it did not have oil consumption or any other problem.

Blind spots? That is simply an excuse for poor observation. I drive a transit van all day with only the side mirrors and front windows to see out of, and I manage just fine because I LOOK what is going on all around me!
I've ridden in one recently. It has a reasonably high-quality fit & finish and seems to hold its own on the road. I dislike the fact that it has less interior space than a Megane.
I have one I have an Acenta 2WD 1.6 Petrol and while the running costs aren't amazing because it's petrol it's so comfy and cosy and to be honest dare I say it feels quite premium
I’ve got a 2010 2.0L Acenta Petrol and and am very happy with it Surprisingly comfortable with stunning suspension and not much road noise It’s still running amazingly well The thing that puts me off buying the new ones is that I feel like they aren’t going to be as comfortable or reliable as they are only 1.2 litres or something similar they don’t come in 2.0L’s anymore

Best vehicle I have owned and the mileage was at 200k miles 2008 Qashqai 1.6 petrol with a manual transmission. Never had engine trouble and I love to push my rides really hard. The only issues I had were suspension related such as bushings, stabilizer links, ball joints, sub frame bushings, cv axles. Apart from that zero engine issues. I will definitely purchase another one in the future.
My father got a Nissan Qashqai, and im soon 18 and getting driving license, I have tryed this car a few times, and this is very amazing to drive it, you feel like you are on a truck, and also it doesnt make so big sounds, you sometimes think that the engine are with electric. The max speed I have drrive is 180 and it didnt feel like that. Many of my friends loved even the seats and said they were comfortable. No noises at all during dirving time!
I have Nissan Qashqai 2008 petrol 2.0 , my review :- Pros:- 1-Awesome Engine sound with low fuel consumption. 2-So quite & so comfortable so you get cheap luxury car and sporty at the same time. 3-If you want to drive at high speeds over 70 M/hr it doesn't vibrate even with 100 M/hr. 4-CVT gearbox and a cool thing though. Cons:- 1-Boring driving as f*ck. 2-expensive car parts from the dealers. 3-the back seats are small and almost 90 degrees angle so it's not comfort. 4-It's name Sucks.
My dad had one since 2015, never did anything wrong we had so many road trips. Had a higher trim but was pretty rich in features. After a while it did get some issues so now we are getting a EV goodbye qashqai
Watching in 2024 and we got the Dualis (JDM model) in my market. That vehicle had the most qualit-control issues i have ever seen. As much of a beauty as it was i think it gave some of its owners PTSD.
Had this car in tekna trim, every posible option on the car, it was 2008 model with big screen on dash and it had reverse camera in 2008 was pretty amazing, 2.0 dci 4x4 automatic, never changed oil in gearbox sold it with 270k kilometers, I still miss that car it was so amazing on motorway, cabin is so well insolated and in cornes it was so good no body roll, car was so good, if you want buy one choose 2.0 dci engine is bulletproof
Just bought a 2007 2.0 petrol and very impressed has leather and getting over 600km a tank, surprisingly good car highly recommend a petrol anyway as has the Nissan engine

Not sure what's he's taking about, with the wind whistling or not fun around country roads. We have one and it's the best car I've had so far. Loads of room, fuel economy great. I've owned Audi, ford in past. This is the best I've owned, Highly recommended. Even with the odd comments in video.
I have this qashqai 13 plate, super happy with my car.i don't understand why is he comparing it with golf and focus and other cars that he shouldn't. And another thing he doesn't mention is the engines, especially the Renault ones.Good thing I have a petrol Nissan one.As for the twisty roads I want it to be safe and stable, not fun, especially when I'm with my family. Very good car, very minimal review.
Had my 2008 for over a year with no fault's. Drive's and handle's well.pot hole's, what pot holes. love the way it can go up a high curb bank when your at a standstill stuck in traffic. Nissan Tunbridge wells completed a full service, full free valet and breakdown cover. 10/10 for them guy's. Oh and a courtesy car. sooooo glad I brought one.
thanks for the information. Nissan dealer called me as well and they confirmed that when fuel is low there is no sound. I agree with you it's not a well thought out car.
i had the choice of choose between this, and the (much larger, interior, exterior, engine and consumption wise) mazda cx 7. i went with the cx 7. though the dualis has a very cramped, small exterior, the interior is quite spacey, but the 1.6L diesel is awfully slow, while the 2L isn't much faster either. (though the fuel consumption IS pretty good)
Another problem with this car is its marketing, i remember seeing a commercial where it pretty much was imitating a skateboard, which was moving around, also hinting its good mobility or smth, but then i saw standard models are not 4X4, this car makes sense only 4x4.

I don't know why people compare the Qashqai with the Ford Focus. They have nothing to do with each other. The Qashqai is 13 centimeters higher. It can be compared with a Skoda Yeti, or a Nissan Juke, or even a Mitsubishi ASX, but definitely not with the likes of Focus or Mazda 3.
Dont get me wrong, i dont think its ugly, it kind of grows on you as time passes by, but it still looks SUV like, which ultimately makes it a bit clumsy. I just dont understand which cars it competes with, some reviews have compared it with Mini Countryman, well i dont see it, in all fairness Coutryman doesnt compete with anyone either because who goes offroading with a mini, it was only to widen their model range in the market and get new customers.
Diesel is generally a bit down on power generally and is only really there in the really high RPM range (and by that time you have to change gear and lose all that power range, acceleration isn't great either), and to be honest with the diesel prices the way they're going i would grab a petrol as they run just as well and economical as a diesel (give or take a few mpg).

you can get a fully loaded Mitsubishi Outlander at about 36000€ with a 2.2 hdi engine with 180hp and 380nm which is a lot more of a car than the qashqai , better off-roader , more comfortable and i guarantee a lot sportier.
I seen on utube that the the Nissan qashqai dose not Have a metal bar underneath the bumper so if you have a rear in packet your car could be a right off just at 15mph in packed. Check it out.
I have the 2ltr acenta auto as my motability car . Its easy to get in and out of with my legs drives great and is built like a tank . But it is very thirsty average M.P.G is only 25 . So if your buying 1 go for the diesel its a bit slower but with better M.P.G.
A beautiful very expensive car in my country only in 1600cc and not a good horsepower in gasoline engines without turbo. A good idea was to use Juke's engine in qashqai
That's odd because on the 1.6 tekna 2008 with full extra it does all that yours doesn't, but the side mirrors are also manual. Maybe is an "extra" in the mind of Nissan. It even warn me once with a beep for the risk of ice on the street, but that even my Peugeot 307 2007 does it :)
Need some information on the Qashqai. I bought the 1,6 acent s. From day one I have noticed that the the drivre's window does not roll up automatically. Have taken it in for repai several times but after a short period of time it repeats the fault...it does not go up automatically. Second, when fuel is low I do not hear the sound to inform me the only thing that happens I see the fuel tank light up on the dashboard's screen, my car is the september 2011 model.Thanks.
my 2009 one you have to press button manually for it to put mirrors in electronically . I forget when take key out then have to put key in turn ignition on then press button . quicker to have manual mirrors an push them

Nice review! As for the car, i think its too expensive for what it is. At least in my country. For example, 2.0 dci model with the highest equipement package and aut. gearbox costs 41000€, while for that money you can get, i dont know, a renault laguna 2.0 dci GT (with 180hp), with 4 wheel steering, navigation, and all the equipement you get in qashqai, but it only costs 32000€.
my mums is a qashqai+2 1.5 dci 360 2013 model and the windows don't go up automatically and it doesn't make a noise when it's low on fuel I guess Nissan forgot to do these. When you get past the good ride tall driving position and the space & gadgets it isn't a well thought out car e.g. if you have the windows down and you take the key out of the ignition they won't go up and the wing mirrors won't fold away it's all manual.

It's 2022 and I had one of this since 2010 (bought new). It was the most reliable car I ever had - only changed head bulbs, battery and tires. Engine was MR20DE - simple and reliable.

we had a 2011 model up until the 65 plate came out and we loved it we would have kept it but Nissan gave us a part trade upgrade. I miss that car

my mums is a qashqai+2 1.5 dci 360 2013 model and the windows don't go up automatically and it doesn't make a noise when it's low on fuel I guess Nissan forgot to do these. When you get past the good ride tall driving position and the space & gadgets it isn't a well thought out car e.g. if you have the windows down and you take the key out of the ignition they won't go up and the wing mirrors won't fold away it's all manual.
messin1000 mine didnt go up automatically also, you need to enable it yourself. It will work if you turn it on
