    I swear, at certain points during the sounds, I hear Hog squeals. Do they do that for intimidation?

      I can make a squeak sound by pushing air though me teeth while my mouth is closed, it sounds like a chipmunk

      No, they are a Grouse, which makes them more akin to pheasants and chickens.

      No. Normally the males are incredibly shy and timid, but during mating season, they'll fight pretty much anything that enters their territory...

    where as it ? i am also from Slovakia, but i know only of capercaillies that are too shy - but this one seems to be rather crazy daring :-) ...where was it ? perhaps i would like to go and see this special daring bird

      Well, sometimes they go literally crazy and they try to attack you, so it depends mostly on the single animal and its level of Testosterone

    I’m sorry I hate this fucking bird so much. I hate it so much it’s absolutely terrifying. I’ve seen shoebills and potoos but the noises this thing makes is horrible. The ticking, the way the ticking gets faster like it’s about to explode and then it lets out a horrible hog squealing squeaking noise. I hate it
