I think western countries are having bit wrong approch the ukraine war. Western countries believed that it's sufficient to show our resolve to support ukraine and Russia would back from war due to how costly it is both in manpower, economy and military stockpiles. But this is where west had miscalculated. Russia is willing to continue the war no matter the cost as long as it's able to. For Putin giving up the war would symbolically be giving up on Russia as a great power and losing the war would be seen as his failure.
Russia will continue the war no matter the cost for as long as it's able to and unfortunately Russians are willingly to suffer great deal before demanding political change. Maybe they'll eventually revolt, but it's not something western countries can rely on. While the war is definetly taking heavy toll on Russia, Russia is country with such vast resources and manpower that even just war-stretched domestic production is able to keep the war going for long time and that is going to be very costly for Ukranians.
West needs to be ready to bring Russian industry to their knees. Western weapons are capable of hitting Russian factories and oil refineries and preventing Ukraine striking these key infrastructures targets allows Russia to keep up the wartime production and economy to produce and buy weapons. Moreover it unnecessarily protect regular Russians from consequences of war (in terms of shortages of goods) their goverment is conducting. The only way to force Russian army incapable of conducting war is bringing down Russian industry and there is pleanty of targets within range of western weapons.
The fastest way to end the conflict is to bring Russia to it's knees. Even targeting their industry the war likely isn't going to end as soon as we would hope, but if nothing else it would also reduce Russian's capability of hittin Ukranian civilians and soldiers making conducting war much more difficult for Russia as army is unable to replace lost equipment due to industrial shortages.
I hope telegraph is one of the few outlets understanding the importance of making sure Russia loses this war and would be able to promote the view point for west to take harsher stance on Ukraine war and promote the understanding why that is the case.

The Olympic Committee lost a golden opportunity to stop this war, and to prevent future wars. When athletes from aggressor-countries are shun - publicly - it is a very visible gesture. It makes people ask the question - Why? And it provides the answer. It makes people uncomfortable, and maybe some will demand reverting to a normal life and behavior.

I'm following this podcast since the beginning of the invasion, but with all respects, calling this episode "Ukraine repels massive Russian assaults" is poor. Sadly, russia is breaking through Ukraines defense lines, just yesterday they gained 3km in one day. It's not the typical movement from bushline to bushline anymore.
A reason for this might be that russia has close air support at the frontline with no counter to that by Ukraines troops, besides manpads. The situation has developed from critical to desperate.
The collective west must pump up its shipments of supplys, now.

    ruclips.net/video/FLIU7LeGQEs/видео.html
Footage of the first strike of the Russian kamikaze drone Lancet-52 on a Ukrainian 120-mm self-propelled mortar M120 Rak, manufactured in Poland, has been published. The M120 Rak self-propelled mortar has been in production since 2016 and was previously in service with the 44th separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces. Technical information about the M120 Rak mortar is on the channel. As a result of the strike by the Lancet drone, a fire started in the self-propelled mortar, which completely destroyed the combat vehicle, the location where the video was filmed, and what became of the crew is unknown.
