One thing, doesn't matter how keen the police and courts may be to get the conviction, having video evidence of 2 cops planting evidence would cause a shake up and people would be fired. Also grounds for a large civil suit against the police and possibly the DA's office. Oh, and Bruce would have to move far away to avoid being killed in a "mugging".
That's exactly it. It switches between Bruce's now and the wife's diary from 6 months earlier, without telling you, and sometimes you don't know the switch happened until a few paragraphs into the switch.

It takes skill to do it seamlessly. This is more of a training ground or practice for budding writers and I'm into it just the same. That's what I think.

This was a opposite story I had previously read involving using the police to wreck havoc on guilty compared to this one with the police wrecking havoc on the innocent. Heard this tale before but still engaging. Good unusual courtroom drama.
