Tbh, RoA just stacks way too slow even with the new buffs. I can get Heartsteel with 700hp upfront by first dragon instead of waiting for RoA. Also Tank Swain >>> AP Hybrid Swain, you'd be surprised how tank this birdman can be
Personally even before the buff I'd still prefer roa. I hate how he keeps running out of mana which is the same case with lillia. While everybody plays her with liandry rush i on the other hand use roa instead, i tried luden/crown but she became too squishy
@@hey9974 but there r so many other ways(rune, boots, even some tank item like frozen heart) to solve mana problem and also if u play as a support u don't need that much mana or u don't need to spam ur q skill that much
Jus used roa multiple matches. It's not worth. Rayleighs way more beneficial. The slow, ap, plus hp makes huge difference first obj. Then heartsteel followed by situational.
Or they could make ROA function like archangels staff where you can buy ROA's first component at level 1 or at 500-700 gold purchase it so you can still stack the first component but not at max stack. OR just replace the item with a better one (also include the removal of loyalty rune its so useless).
The price decrease makes so much more sense, since it'll effectively reduce the amount of time to stack it up without making it overpowered. Stat wise, the item is super strong on full stack and I'm not going to deny that, but it takes too long to build. I mean it literally gives you a whopping 120 AP on full stack, that's the highest AP out of all AP items; not forget to mention the amount of mana, HP, and some regen that you get with it.
Yeah RoA buff was not enough, you can rush it on few mana-hungry AP toplaners and few other mid champions but that's about it. On Swain it's not so worthy, usually Boots of Mana, Heartsteel and Rylai's into full tank items is better (Twinguard, Thornmail, Spirit Visage/Dawnshroud/Mantle).

They should just let RoA stack infinitely. It will be a core item for all scaling champions.
