Cool, I bought a new one in the late 90s and I still have it and works great! That was one of my first scanners I ever bought and it's special to me and I still have it in pretty decent condition.
Hello to you young man. I came across your video looking for scanner instructions. My lock in/out switch works because your not allowed to make channel changes or review your channels with the lock/in position. All the programming and review modes only work with the lock /out position. Thanks for your refresh.. Be safe.
Thanks heaps for this video! It actually explained to me how to use my Realistic PRO-38 Scanner, which is very similar to the PRO-41 in its controls and buttons layout. Just one question; is the antenna on your PRO-41 the original stock-standard one or some other type? Is there any VHF-UHF Scanner Antenna you recommend that is more sensitive, i.e. picks up more transmissions? Thanks in advance, and I wish you all the best with your train-crews listening!
I worked for radio shack that scanner was made in the late 80’s I bought a few on closeout for $2 in 1993 I still have 3 new in the box

How you erase the frequencies?
I have a PRO 38 Realistic and a 50Xl Bearcat, they are virtually identical to your PRO 41. They are great old scanners enjoy it and happy raifanning!
I have a realistic pro-41 does it work with batteries or does it work plugged in
@@jefferymillerjr1071 Both Battery and Electric.
Great Radio, I had one back in the 90s. I use to monitor Conrail and Philadelphia Police Department when I was a Explorer.
How do program frequency into the scanner.? I have the exact one.
Answered my question today, thanks for this vid!
Hello I am seeing that I can only input 6 digits on my Pro-41, and all of the channels I want to listen to are 8 digits . Any idea?

Yes these are very useful for sure, thanks
Just got one it works still
Maybe Lock locks out the keyboard so that keys aren't accidentally fat fingered.
So this is not considered a digital ? They have digital scanners now .
We know.
Use mine for 2m and 70cm ham listening and ch16 marine.
I'm having problems downloading frequencies to the scanner
You gotta type them in with the keypad.
thanks for the info...
that may make you a better railfan

It is the original antenna. I pretty much only know the basics.
