I have a cat with failing kidneys. He was already 2 when I met him and his human mom who eventually became my wife. She had gotten him as a kitten with a previous boyfriend and I always resented him because he’s not exactly the most well-behaved cat and I felt like he should never have been “my problem”.
Through the years we slowly grew a bit closer but I never really let him in. Now, with his end drawing closer, I’ve been spending a lot of time looking back on the 12 years we shared and kicking myself for all the times I could have been more patient. I had so much love to give him that I held back because I was being selfish.
Now I spend as much time with him as possible while I still can. Better late than never, but it was still too late. His suffering cripples me with remorse. His ghost is never gonna be too far behind me and that’s on me.
When your pet acts up, remember that one day you’ll have to say goodbye and none of it will matter anymore. Hold that critter close and drink every moment up ❤️
Ok now I’m sobbing. My 15 year old daughter had begged for a kitten for years. I finally got her one and we now live in a subdivision for the first time ever. So, the cat is indoors all the time. Initially, he tore our brand new couch to shred ms but he learned quickly and minds well now! He’s smart.
I have a dog but she doesn’t shed and I hate the cat hair. See, I like to keep our home very clean and the cat hair drives me bonkers. I go around with a sticky roll thing getting it off the furniture and the kids clothes. I find myself being hateful with the cat because of it.
However, he’s super funny and cute. He also really loves affection and I keep that from him. Your comment broke my heart because every single day I feel slight guilt over not showing the cat any love. I push him off me and knock him away with my leg when he rubs against me.
I’ve recently been thinking how I should learn to let go of my obsession with keeping a perfect house. Life is too short and I need to be happy instead of resentful of a cat. I also need to stop complaining when my daughter is around because she loves him so much and I’m sure it makes her feel bad to hear me nag daily about him.
Sorry to make this response all about me. Your story just hit home. I need to be better. I truly hope you enjoy your last days with your cat and I pray for a peaceful end with you and your wife by his side.
@@BS-dq1kz pleased to report that Gibson is getting treatment from some wonderful vets and he’s thriving for the time being. 🐈 ❤️ Most days you can’t tell he’s old and sick, running around and trying to play with things he shouldn’t be trying to play with 😝
And don’t worry about “making it all about you”. I’m glad me and Gibson’s story had a positive impact on someone else’s relationship with their kitty. 🙏

I’m confused, did his wife vanish while he mourned alone, or did he “off” his wife cause she was lazy and didn’t work? Maybe the dog disposed of the remains, in which he was sad his lil buddy was gone? Did they both drop at the same time? Pretty sure the dog served more purpose than she did. Very odd video, no ending except another dog. Should have been a cat.
