- Coach Seth Wallace played football for Coe College from 1997 to 2000, and was immediately offered an opportunity to join the staff by his coach following his final collegiate game. He grew up in a football family and followed his dad around to all of his games as a child. Coach Ferentz hired Coach as a GA in 2006 for several years before he left to elevate his career at Valdosta St. He returned to Iowa in 2014 in a Recruiting coordinator and Asst Defensive line role and has been in Iowa City ever since. His current title is Assistant Head Football Coach, Assistant D Coordinator, and he serves as the leader of the Linebackers room. He is this podcast's favorite coach of our time playing, and was an incredible mentor and resource to us both as players and developing young adults. He joins for a 2 hour BANGER of a show to talk about all things Hawkeyes, his career, Coach Ferentz, this upcoming season, and a whole lot more.

I went to an Iowa Coaches Clinic back in spring of 2015 and Woods/Wallace introduced a couple of sessions. I was a little starstruck back then, but these pods have been absolutely amazing with both coaches!! I've coached both middle school and high school football at different times in my life, and man I envy you guys being able to watch film, break down the vids, and game plan with these coaches! I would love to learn from them! Great coaches and great men!! Get that All 22 film!! Thanks to all!

Really love these interviews with the coaching staff, it's nice to hear from them in a more relaxed environment, that and as fans of the team we don't get to really hear from the staff that often. Goat Wallace, the man.

@@WashedUpWalkons Damn. It's too bad he took the Brian criticism so personally. I mean, I get it -- there are people's in my own life I'd defend to the hilt. At the end of the day, though, he's gotta do what's best for his own mental/physical health. I just hope he knows and understands that we appreciate his perspective when he joins the pod.
