Kinloch is Gaelic for head (end) of the lock. Guessing the original settlers were of scotch decent. Surprised you didn’t ride down the rock at the summit.
Aye, there’s a lot of Scottish ancestry here in NZ. My Great-gran was from Jedburgh. And I did attempt to get on the bike at the top of the rock but was worried I was going to fall over the edge!
watching your videos looking forward to our family vacation to Latsch, Italy, an enduro Eldorado. search for Holy Hansen Trail, Propain Trail, Roadbrunn Trail and Monte Sole Trail. Tomorrow morning we hit the Autobahn for a hopefully only 5 hour journey.
Michael Hoch Wow! Those trails look awesome! Have a great time and stay safe. Message me on FB when you get back and tell me all about it - I ‘might’ be in northern Italy next year.
The bike usually is NZ$5900 - but I’m sure if anyone is interested in buying the bike I used (size medium) then Banshee NZ could do a special subscriber price. Is in pristine condition- I never crashed it !
Had a fun time running that trail as part of the Taupo Ultramarathon, how epic is it!
Thanks for clarification on the massive Cog lol... and for being out of breath for once.. makes me feel better
It'll be great to see you back here now they've opened the Otaketake loop
Thanks for the heads up about this. Hopefully I’ll get to revisit sometime.
On my to do list this ride . Short trip over from NAPIER
Well worth the drive Leith. Book in a long weekend and do a day at Craters too.
Don’t know when but I want to check out Eskdale some time.
Do you fine the spitfire sizes are a bit small?
Those guys are keen, solid front forks.
The Spitfire did feel a fraction smaller than my Trance at first but I quickly got used to it. It also makes it a very nimble and playful bike

GX Eagle is 1x12 not 11?
Danke, Michael - you are totally right, the GX Eagle is 12 speed. Lack of oxygen to the brain I think!!
