- A relaxed roadtrip from West to East, to finish what I started with my previous The Crew video. Showing off the new graphics update that comes with the Wild Run expansion, I think it looks nice and adds to the realism. Driving with my friend Mikko. I know I don't really visit the states that are considered the heartland states, but last video was called Homeland, so this is called Heartland because it sounds cool and you just have to deal with it.

Funny how it reminded us of good old DayZ in the Northern parts, with it's lovely scenery, wildlife.. oh, and ball drippin' rain. And then, it's just a racing game, that we spent a splendid night cruising.

Hey, Berdu. I'm more of a lurker but I really feel inclined to comment here. I just wanted to say thank you for the video. Whether intentionally or not, you've made something that I can watch for several minutes and be completely free of stress, and actually feel calm - Which I could do with more of. I just wanted to let you know your videos have made a positive difference, if only in a small way to me.

Love this as always Berdu, as an older bloke I am struck by the sheer volume of data these games carry, the detail of scenery and architecture. The weird feeling of "knowing" a place that does not in fact exist. Knowing your way around the streets and in the building etc. So like in BF4 if they revise an older map, you jump in and you know your way around but you've never BEEN to this place, it's not there but you know it better that some places you have visited in real life... yeah I'm going on sorry. Just blows my mind.
+Bandwidth Bandito (BBandito) I know the feel. Most recently experienced this while playing Assassin's Creed Unity. I've been to Paris many times, and even though the game is far from modern times, Paris and it's landmarks and locations are still very recognisable. Video games are great history lessons nowadays!

Amazing job!
I can see the idea behind this but there are some moments that spoil it a bit (roadtrip suddenly becomes a race and vice versa, some visual glitches and first person cockpit is not something you expect of this video) . This looks like a work that was in production for too long and the creator became a little bored with it.
It contains a great feeling though (as everything Berduu makes) and I would definitely ask for a new and improved part of it :)

Some of these scenes looks almost real. Especially when there is a lot of motion blur to hide the polygons.
+Mora Madness Yeah the new graphics update is disliked by some, but I think it makes the game look less "gamey", and a bit more realistic.
what polygons? You mean low detailed objects?
I dunno, the crew isn't a great looking game, even on ultra.

The Nevada cover shot at the beginning left a bad first impression for me with the brutal LOD switches on the 370Z (can't blame you). However, from California onwards this was amazing!
+KI2O Yeah the car details are a bit iffy when you're not looking at your own car. I really liked that shot though, so I thought it should stay.

Nicely done mate. Is this an in-game camera mode or have you been up to your usual hackery? I seem to recall that you had issues with UI components in the early release of the game.
+TheOzMandias Just in-game camera. In the earlier version of the game you couldn't remove the player names from the screen. I complained about it to them on Twitter and official forums. Others probably did that as well, as they have since included an option to remove the names. Would still love to have better camera options.
