    Thanks again for sharing that wonderful Ibanez guitar Tomo! Wow sounds great I like that Ibanez put a splitter switch in the middle so that the pick-up select switch won't wear out as fast like on my Start. " I don't know if this is a quality issue or what" but, what Ibanez has done seems like a good idea. Thanks again.

    I was intrigued by your vid and I looked up the specs. That alter switch puts two pickups in series at a time. So they are still humbucking, just like positions 2 and 4 without the alter switch (like a normal modern strat with the PU in parallel but reverse magnets and reverse wound for humbucking effect) but the "boost" is not because they are "like a humbucker" - its because they are in series instead of parallel. A great sound, often overlooked on production guitars (BMG Special is a notable exception), but a common mod for Teles. All in all, it looks like a unique instrument and great value.

    I like that instrument a lot .. nothing much "budget" about it other than the $$. I'd say it a great VALUE guitar. As a mfr's rep I used to call on Hoshino north of Philly long ago when they were first getting started. Impressive company now! Survived the "lawsuit' era and defined the design and appearance of the modern "shredder" guitar.

      Hoshino USA themselves even put on a replacement neck for my 2006 S470DXQM via an "Authorized Repair" center that only charged me for shipping on their part and Hoshino did the rest. I was treated like a 'Rock Star' by Hoshino with my humble $800 when new S470 and they later gavet me their metal collared trem bar anchor upgrade part too. They treated me like Family.

    €299 here in Germany, amazing. Short story: years ago, I acquired a Squier Tele as my 'bad weather guitar' for €190. However, I ended up investing an additional €360 for: Schaller mechanics, Texas Special PUs, a better electronic from Rockinger with 4-way switch and quality pots. In total, I spent around €550, turning it into a very nice instrument. Another ~€50 for my friend for fine-tuning and electronics (luthier work).
    Perhaps I could have saved some money by purchasing a guitar like this one (although Schaller mechanics are kind of unbeatable I think ;-)
    This guitar seems to offer already a lot for a more comfortable price (though that wasn't the primary goal). I simply wanted to take one of my much more expensive Gibsons with me.
    The guitar looks and sounds really good. Excellent consulting job!!!
    I appreciate collaborations like this, especially when they're not limited to expensive signature guitars (which aren't always the best models in many cases, if they do not come from a custom shop). Good job on the video, and your playing is, as always, excellent ;) Your little amp sounds so cute!!!

      Thank you for sharing! Basic idea on making the AZES31 & the AZES40 ... make sure that beginner & intermediate guitar players can focus on practicing & playing guitar without any distraction & temptation for buying similar range guitars. Only $299.99 or 349.99 so no need to buy anything until your next guitar which will be (maybe) $800-1000.00 guitar. The ASES has much better bridge, saddles, pickups, tuners and input jack. Thank you so much! I had a pleasure working with Ibanez people. They really listened my suggestion on neck curve, pickups, tunes choices. Thank you!

    Is there a stacked humbucker in the bridge position?
    Or is the switch to turn on a specific pickup at any point?
    I put a mini toggle on my Strat that turns the bridge pickup at any time. So, I can get the bridge and neck when in position 5 and all 3 pickups in position 4.

    I’m chasing my tail!! 😂. Is it the guitar (type, brand, model etc) OR the amplifier and available electronic effects ( settings, pedals, etc) that is most important in being able to create or re-create the sound for specific genres, songs, etc.??? I watch players play a cheap non-brand guitar and make it sound wonderful!! I watch them play very expensive famous guitars. They sound great, of course. But, is it because of a great amplifier, settings, ??? I know nothing about the electronic side of tailoring sounds. I keep buying guitars because I love them. But I cannot guarantee my sounds from one to the next. What do I do?

    • @TomoFujitaMusic
      @TomoFujitaMusic  2 месяца назад +1

      Definitely it's better to use a better gear as much as you can. Then each player can learn more foundation, techniques etc so that they can express themselves better. So expensive guitars, amps with poor techniques ... not great tone! This guitar is really good! For that price point. You need to invest your guitar playing! You can join my Guitar Wisdom.
