ETCD Backup in Kubernetes

Recently i cleared CKA exam, there was question on ETCD backup and restore. So better to prepare both backup and restore

Thanks for this video! I just checked and the documentation does not have the etcd backup or restore command in it's entirety. How can we obtain this full command in the Exam?

You will not get the complete command as far as I remember, you need to memorise

Thanks for detailed n clear explanation of scenario one doubt i have there is cert cacert given in exams so do we need to use that file or we need to use certfile of master etcd node the way u have shown.

You can get the certs by doing a describe on etcd pod, they will not be mentioned in the exam

Thanks for video, in exam when we run snapshot save command to path or file it will save, we need to save the file in etcd.yaml right the problem is in cka exam /etc/kubernetes/manifests path is not available here how to save file in etcd.yaml, how to get data dir? if they ask to take backup on worker node here how to do same thing like saving ot file, save the file etcd.yaml, get the data dir...pleas help here

first thing, they will never ask you to do things that are not possible, also they will never ask or very rarely ask questions where you have ssh on to any master or worker node to perform the action, the manifest directory is available on master and you ssh access to master
