I also love how Esther didn't need ti do anything for God to use her , even though she was a jew , she didn't first do something amazing to please God and God then decided to use her . Her life plan was already set out from the beginning, wich i think is a great reminder for us today that God's plan for our lives is set and nothing can change that , we need only be still ♡
I spent 3 months studying this book and will never look at it the same. I agree, there is so much more to find than the beauty of Esther. Just knowing that Esther means hidden (Hebrew) and star (Persian) blessed me!
Love this bible study! Great job my friend :) I wanted to share something with you I read in my study bible bc you mentioned that You were really unsure why Vashti wouldn’t come to parade around about when asked by the king (or something Like that lol) it shares that Vashti was from a Persian Country and it may have been against her own custom so it could have been her not wanting to dishonor her customs from her own family. Also it later says...some say Vashti may have been pregnant with Artaxerxes and she did not want to be seen “in public in such a state” those are just a few notes in my study Bible I recently read in Esther for a sermon I’m working on an when I saw your video pop up and watched it...I thought heeyyyy lol I read about that :) Great video!!! Happy Good Friday :) ~Amanda
Saphina, thanks for making your lively presentation available online. Have you given any thought to why Esther, in chapter 4, was justifiably hesitant to take Mordecai's second message (about Haman vs. the Jews) to Ahasuerus, but did not hesitate at all in chapter 2, regarding taking Mordecai's first message (about Bigthan and Teresh) to Ahasuerus? Since the laws of Persia were not easily changed (8:8), it would seem that either of these interruptions to Ahasuerus' schedule could have resulted in her being executed. (I think I can explain this, but I'd like to know your thoughts.)
YAAAY! God is using you to help me girl! So I read Esther (very short and very good book for people hesitating to read, just go for it!) Anyway, question for you or anyone on this thread, why did Mordecai not bow down to Haman in the first place, which in turn caused Haman's wrath? 💕
Hey Shannon! I’m assuming it was because he was a Jew-meaning he worshipped ONLY God. It seems like Ham-an was extremely egotistical and wanted to be “bowed down” to and essentially worshipped and Mordecai wasn’t having that. Lol It reminds me of the story of Shadrach, Meschach and Abedndego who refused to bow down to King Nebuchadnezer and therefore threw them in a fiery furnace. They were Jewish and knew that the ONLY one that should be worshipped and “bowed down” to is God.
@@saphinawest ok ok! reminds me also of The Last Dragon when Shonuff kept telling Bruce Leroy to bow to him and he refused ...biblical and classic movie connections here👍🏾 ...thanks for the supplemental info 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾💕
