I'm also in WA with a LS tractor. The XR. Not sure if they fixed it but check under the hood by the exhaust. On th side behind and above the coolant tank. There's an upside down L bracket that a wire harness goes over. The harness rubs on that metal and eventually cuts into one of the wires in that harness and will short, causing who knows what for problems. Mine was a blown fuse and 3 error codes.
Got a 21 mt342 cab. Mine just suddenly wont go over 1500 rpms a few times now. Found shuttng off at restarting "fixes" it. Wondering if it needs a forced regen. Always used hwy diesel in mine and usually regens on it's own every 25hrs or so
Micah, Brother, I bought a Mt 357 w/a cab and just did the 50 hr PM on it... That oil filter is WAY TOO SHORT!!! I had to drive a screwdriver thru it twice to be able to turn it enuff to finally get it off. Ugh! I remembered your 50 hr PM video, and the trouble u had w/it, so I came back to see f u had another video that might provide a solution. I figured that the simplest permanent solution was a longer filter, and I c that you've had the same idea. Great minds think alike! : ) But it seems like you have input from somewhere that says don't use that filter??? WHY? A longer filter is the PERFECT solution! PLEASE, tell me what the make & model # is for that longer filter, or for whatever LS now recommends. ONE MORE THING... I canNOT find a good place for a toolbox on this tractor. Do you have any suggestions? Many thanx! : )
From what I can tell, they changed to the longer filter, and then changed back to the short stubby one. Same part number and everything! I'll tell ya what- that low profile filter wrench is a life saver!
Thanks for the videos. My dealer told me to move my air filter out on bracket when he delivered it. Got the MT342 with cab & shuttle shift.

Man, that's frustrating! No codes on the screen?

What canopy is that?
That's a Bareco canopy. They're friggin tough! Worth every penny!
The GMC truck what year is it? Want to sale it?
That's a 99 Chevy Silverado Z71. Almost 350k on it, and it still kinda runs ok! We'll be keeping it as a farm truck until it bites the dust
That looks like a 50’s model GMC setting beside an old car in the weeds. That’s the one I’m talking about. Old truck needs a née home 😁
Ohhh the oooold GMC! That has a plan in store, but $ can change things! Where are you located? Shoot me an E-mail!
UGGGGG I don't like that oil pan sticking down that low.
Gotta keep reminding myself that this thing is a piece of agricultural equipment and not a 4 wheeler
