I’m slowly working on it haha. I picked up another Daiwa rod recently. Still need to put it through the wringer on a proper lake with some proper fish!
It’s siiiiiick 😂. It’s such a great setup! I was trying to buy another but everyone is sold out and out of stock near me lol, so I picked up another Lew’s but a different model. It’s super similar though 👀
@@johnrenzulli5248 it’s great imo. I throw out a Texas rig with a 3/16 weight and it’s been absolutely stellar. How light are you talking? It would throw out weightless senkos and soft plastics well too.
That was me, but a buddy let me mess with his baitcaster and I got hooked haha… there definitely is a learning curve, but I couldn’t picture fishing now without both a spinning and a casting setup.
I was the same way for years but now I use baitcasters as often if not more than my spinning setups. My dad has tried a few times but just can’t get a baitcaster down. He gets too frustrated so it’s not worth learning for him
Just got this reel… haven’t gotten it out of the box yet… waiting on the rod to be delivered. Good overview!
You’re going to love it! It’s still my favorite do-all reel.
That’s a good looking reel. I like my Lews reels very much so I’m sure it’s a great one!
Man, I’m a huge fan. I’ve not finished with an Abu Garcia yet but Lew’s feel really nice being palmed.
@@thatfishingnoob yes I feel like they can hang with the best!
They’re slowly becoming my go to reel brand lol.
That's a sweet looking combo!! I love my Lew's Mach Speed Spool SLP but that black and gold is killer!
Man, I’m a HUGE fan of the black and gold haha. It’s a cleaaaan looking reel for sure. I’m a big Lew’s fan.
Nice seeing your gear progress! Let's get rid of the rest of the ugly sticks now :P

Did we both get the same reel on sale! I got mine for 150 on sale a few weeks ago, Paired it with a Daiwa Tatula elite and wow its sickkk

How is it with light lours?

1/8 is the lightest but 3/16 will do Thanks

@@johnrenzulli5248 no problem! Tight lines, catch some good ones.
I really have never even tried fishing with a bait caster. Probably too old to learn new tricks so spinning reels for life I guess.

I hear that. There’s definitely a learning curve. A DC reel makes casting a baitcaster suuuuuuuper easy though.
4.3 ozs? Try 6.4
Definitely haha. I corrected it later. Still feels light and compact 😬
