This video just proves that they were a massive band, yet people say they were underrated. They had a number 1 album, they were massive. Shame they broke up.
They fell apart with their third album and Oasis splitting up didn’t help them either because they were touring with them and getting loads of Oasis fans on board
When I was younger I was lucky enough to see incredible bands like The Clash and The Jam live. The Enemy had that same energy and passion, took me back to those heady days.
This video is recorded at the Oasis concert on 7th July 2009, which I was at. Oasis and The Enemy, were awesome! This gig was one of the last before Oasis broke-up...quite sad really.

Their careers are not over. Tom went solo, and Andy (bassist) joined Autopilot, who are good (nothing like The Enemy either, even his basslines are a bit different). Dunno what Liam (the drummer) is doing, but yeah, at least 2 of them are still going, just on different paths now

Mad to think this was a warm up gig for oasis that night. Best night of my life seeing them two bands. 50% only turned up for the enemy, was a homecoming gig for them

This Enemy song is a sequel to that, where Nigel is grown up, and there is no British Steel. He works an unfulfilling job in a department store, but manages to still find happiness going out dancing on the weekends and falling in love.
