Have had several expressions from Blue Bolt, all have been home runs! Also had the chance to visit the distillery and drink straight from the barrel. Those guys down there are doing some special stuff! Great video, and will always support the little guys making their way up, cheers!
Blue Bolt was my intro to Crittenden’s. I’d seen reviews on Crittenden’s, but they aren’t distributed in SC and I couldn’t find anywhere to buy online. I did manage to find Blue Bolt and bought a double oaked and a barrel proof and they were both fantastic. I’ve since picked up a couple more and now have a couple of Crittenden’s picks (Brewzle) and every one of them are fantastic. Highly recommend! 🥃🥃
Sounds delicious and some stiff competition but I think Im kinda done with these one-of NDPs. Always come hot out the gate with a great release everyone loves then just fall off. Feels like a new one pops up every week, too hard to keep track of and I need another bottle like I need another hole in my head. If its your own distillate or contract distillate Im interested; if it’s a pick from a trusted group sure. I just cant justify purchasing sourced whiskey blind anymore. 2c
A very enjoyable video! Nice to hear about up and coming places to find great bottles. Anything that can approach my #1 go-to Weller Antique 107 gets my attention! Thanks!
@brendonkeith600 I would like to find Rebel 10 and try it! I hear good things. However, with effort, I can semi-consistently find 107 for $55 to $80, which is must less than $100 for Rebel 10.
"A little bit of peanut butter, maybe some almond extract, but not nutty" as you describe nutty scents, "Chocolate, milk chocolate, not dark", "Yellow cake with vanilla ice cream, actually more of a carrot cake. Which one is it? Yellow cake with vanilla ice cream and carrot cake are no where near the same scent. This is why I do not take all yall serious. There is no way in hell you can honestly tell me you pick up all of these scents.
I’ll watch every one of their videos but almost every single time I already know I’m going to get “a little bit of” 6000 times and the notes are always “alittle bit of apricot, alittle bit of butter cream, oooo like butter cream with alittle bit of fruit drizzled on top with a scoop of ice cream”. Its so ridiculous I can’t help but to watch it
How do you not lol? If you watch this channel you probably watch other whiskey channels who describe and taste whiskey with flavor notes. Have you ever seen a bourbon/whiskey wheel? All these flavors they list relate to all the specific categories on the wheel. You can totally get two different notes that taste/smell entirely different. Honestly your comment sounds like you don’t know much about whiskey. Did you just get into whiskey?

Love wheated whiskeys. We have a place out here in LBC that just opened up making their own wheated whiskey called Broken Spirits. Good stuff.

Blue Bolt is incredible! I got 2 bottles of 248 NOVA bourbon club pick, and have one left. Will is working some magic down in MS!
