I'm glad little movies like Sing & Sing 2 are coming out to help expose the younger generations to some great music that they may not have otherwise heard. ❤️
I heard this song from Glee actually. It was really a wonderful tribute both to the original band and to one of their deceased cast members since this was his favorite song.
My first born son died during the covid pandemic. This was his favorite song/band. I know he has now "found what's he's been looking for'" . Thank you Jesus ❤
Karen ..I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my 39 yr old son 13 years ago. I just found an old CD he had made of some of his favorite songs. This is one of them. He was a born again Christian, so I know I'll see him again. My husband died 2 days after my son...deaths not connected. I just recently found out the hospital chaplain had led him to the Lord shortly before he died! I was wondering about his situation with Jesus ... Now I feel I will see him again too . God is so good. ❤

I mean, there's literally a reference to Jesus in this song. I wasn't at all surprised when I found out that they're Christians, not that that's bad or anything
This is a gospel song. Sometimes, what we are looking for transcends the physical and in a marriage, couple still tend to look for happiness elsewhere when they have already been blessed. So let this song be a go to song in case they sway. Look for love, understanding and forgiveness in each other.
I like to believe that the lyrics go beyond finding that perfect someone to fulfill a vacancy into which we are all born. You can't expect love to fill in all the gaps. The song suggests a spiritual quest, a thirst for meaning.
No a thirst for what is and isn’t love is but a fraction of who we are and a want but the reality we perceive is what we need to differentiate from this plane and the next
I think it suggest reading into it what you want. I think if someone wants to read it as "Finding that perfect someone" that's their choice. NOT yours.

Yeah he says he belives in Jesus but he still is looking for something else....its a reference to the scripture. Most music legends face a breaking point where they essentially have to break through their conscious and basically deny Jesus to choose the world. We find those moments referenced by all this big musicians Bono,Jared Leto,Katy Perry,Michael Jackson,Jay-z Beyonce and former Kanye West...when sin takes over and you tell Jesus"back off i want this".You have to start making a case with Him as He comes out and says"whoa whoa son do you see where you are now headed?"Its basically a quarrel with their own hearts. We see that conflict been published in their scriptures. It happens when you reach great depts of baxksliding and sin..when Christ tells you "you know you are heading yourself to hell, right? And their conscious kicks in and they want to start questioning the obvious.Christ is Lord wether we agree or disagree. And yes there is life after death those a facts engraved in each one of us' heart.
Man that movie got me excited when the lion finally faced his heartache and came on the stage to sing this song. My kids thought I was crazy. 😂😂😂 Enjoyed that movie at 49 years old and this song is one of my favorite

Guys this Song its not about love o relationships is more than that, nevertheless I understand why so many people stick to " I still havent found what Im looking for" because every person link the lyrics to his/ her personal life. This song is about a quest, a deep quest about life about whats its meaning, if theres a powerful thing above humanity...

For years I thought this until I heard it today and I couldn’t figure why Kingdom Come and the colors bleed into one. I pulled the lyrics up and WOW it hit me. This is about Jesus and the words written in the Good Book. How badly I feel for thinking first of loves past. I should have listened closer. I will listen a lot closer to the wondrous words U2 sings. Thank you U2 for such a great way to spread the word and getting people like me to listen.

It's so sad in a way no matter where you go in nature you'll find the beautiful world God had made, but never in your life can you actually be with him, only in spirit, only in faith. The closest you can get to him is with the faithful and in your dreams. One day though we will all be with him, only no longer as the people we are. When we are made anew that is when.
I'm reading many interesting interpretations of the lyrics, but no one can translate a quality work of art for anyone else. What we see into it is what it means, like a Rorschach test. Best.
Very true, and in my opinion the best songs intentionally do not spell out the meaning for you, they invite you to figure it out, come to terms with yourself.
When they were making my dad comfortable for his passing in the hospital they put on music and this was the first song to come on. He liked this band. Listening to this even 17months later is hard. Brings back those memories of that day watching him fade away from us. I miss and love you dad.

This is such a beautiful and impacting song. I heard it one night on Sirius XM, and instantly fell in love with it. It's a great song, both composition-wise and it's timeless.
A wonderful lyric which never was a romantic song, it's frustrating to see how many people were deceived by the rhythm of that song, whereas its message never spoke about love between a man and a woman, but it has always spoken about a better love come from a better place where if it hasn't happened yet it's just because it's still in the Almighty God's powerful hands.
Two memories come to mind. One, in the spanish Cies Islands, in the camping bar, listening to this tune when it came out in 87. Two, working as a night shift barman in a London hotel in 97, watching a customer coming in and thinking "¿why seems this guy so familiar?" As it turned out, HE WAS THE EDGE, with his classic hat, and right behind him came BONO & LARRY MULLEN. They spent the whole night at the bar & acted absolutely kind & humble.
There are so many older songs that I remember hearing as a child but I could never remember them enough to look them up and listen to them! Thank you to Sing and Sing2 that have helped me reminisce the feelings that this music has given me, then and now!
Almost no one has found what they’re looking for because they haven’t turned to God in the darkest of times. I can only thank the Lord that I have found Him. God bless!

Listening to this Is hard cause i remember going on road trips with my mother and sister listening to this song and it always brings back good memories and makes me understand that it's all down hill from here
It is not downhill from wherever you are. It might feel so and it may truly appear to be so, but sometimes we our hearts need to crack open in order to brim over with light. How are you now my friend?
Young people meet real music Real music meet young people :) Anyone listening in 2019..?💞 Most people will never know this song is completely about God.
Were i used to listen to this song so much at my old school and when i listen to it it brings me grate memories of my old school and how much i miss it and how it was the best school and miss my school so much and sometimes when i hear i get a little tear because how muchi miss my old school i wish i could go back but i cant i still think about my old school everyday and how it was the best school
This song resembles life and our journey as individuals. Music is a personal experience and we can relate one way or another to the lyrics and interpret it in many ways - love, relationships, a relationship with ourselves , "our creator", the universe, faith, etc. I believe this is the meaning of life, to constantly find what we are looking for and all ends into faith in life itself.
One of My Favorite U2 Songs and I’m Gonna Add This Song To My Future Movie Soundtrack on The Playlist As a Film Director Outside of Voice Acting in Animated Films
This song still resonates in my soul bcs here I am 66yrs old and still haven't found what I'm looking for - thought I had it - then taken away - I'm still searching for what I'm looking for..
The mesmerizing tremors of this song's intro in concerts, always hooks my soul... I will always be a fan to the end. I hope they will tour again, if not this year, then the next. We who love them, are lucky to have them.
thanks so much for breaking this down for me. hit my heart the first time I heard it but haven't followed through till now. Guess that defines me as a major procrastonater but if the shoe fits...
This song is actually about how he failed to find what he was looking for in the pleasures of life, and what it is, is a love song to God to Jesus Christ, he’s the only place where he can actually find what he’s looking for. It’s actually a love song to Jesus not a woman.
Sam Barcia Roja ------------------------------------> have a think about this : if life was offered to you as an option, much like a brochure, and you could see what the experience would be like, the love, the failures, the heartache.... would you agree and sign up for the trip ??? pain, joy and being a human is worth the experience is my option... but i do agree, it is all fucked up.. which is the way of our learning. Cannot go forward without learning from the past.
[Verse 1] I have climbed the highest mountains I have run through the fields Only to be with you Only to be with you I have run, I have crawled I have scaled these city walls These city walls Only to be with you [Chorus] But I still haven't found what I'm looking for But I still haven't found what I'm looking for [Verse 2] I have kissed honey lips Felt the healing in her finger tips It burned like fire This burning desire I have spoke with the tongue of angels I have held the hand of a devil It was warm in the night I was cold as a stone [Chorus] But I still haven't found what I'm looking for But I still haven't found what I'm looking for [Verse 3] I believe in the Kingdom Come Then all the colours will bleed into one Bleed into one But yes, I'm still running You broke the bonds And you loosed the chains Carried the cross of my shame Oh my shame, you know I believe it [Chorus] But I still haven't found what I'm looking for But I still haven't found what I'm looking for But I still haven't found what I'm looking for But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
This song is spiritual to me! I felt this way years ago when the song came out and have loved it and sang it since back then.. will never get tired of it. I have found Christ since then and He is all they say He is! My relationship with him has made look at the world differently and lose my fears of the world so I now have found what I'm looking for and I couldn't be more grateful. Thank you God and God bless U2!!!!!!!!
I am a Christian, and I believe in what I was taught. We were to taught to be disciples of Christ, look up to him and follow his deeds. I try to do these things, and I do, but... My life is still pointless. It feels pointless at least. It makes me resort to listen to this song, and this of the quote by Socrates, "I know one thing; I know nothing."
Watched it in 2021 ? ✨ I believe in the Kingdom come Then all colors will bleed into one. But I still haven’t found what I’m looking for. As a Christian people think life is easy for me because we have a hope, we know for sure we’re saved. This songs is how I actually experience Christianity; I’m still running to my guiding light, even when it’s not visible. Not knowing exactly what I’m gonna find but when I find it, it is were I was looking for.

It's spoke to me in such dark times
crazy
we have yet to discover our purpose!!
only the heart can find that!
There are so many older songs that I remember hearing as a child but I could never remember them enough to look them up and listen to them! Thank you to Sing and Sing2 that have helped me reminisce the feelings that this music has given me, then and now!
Best u2 song. Top 5 of all songs ever!!!!!! Nuff said
I am going to use this in my shcool's chapel and your other christian songs. Good job U2.

Almost no one has found what they’re looking for because they haven’t turned to God in the darkest of times. I can only thank the Lord that I have found Him. God bless!
When your son wants to watch sing but you to get to enjoy the movie as well. I was listening to this gem for some years now though.

Listening to this Is hard cause i remember going on road trips with my mother and sister listening to this song and it always brings back good memories and makes me understand that it's all down hill from here
Hope the best for you
It is not downhill from wherever you are. It might feel so and it may truly appear to be so, but sometimes we our hearts need to crack open in order to brim over with light. How are you now my friend?

Most people will never know this song is completely about God.
@martin prisc hello ._.
this one of my best jams by them though. can't believe they've been today 30 yrs still. a rarity for groups this day and age.
I love you guys! You sing from my heart.
this music will be in the movie "sing 2" i kinda love it
oh yeah. I'll always be listening. no matter how many years go by.. the edge oh boy!!!
I hear this song almost everyday! The universe is sending me a message. ❤
This song rocked my world . Sortof a theme song through my teens & twenties. Music was so good back then.

A MÚSICA É GOSPEL!
Legend has it, he still hasn't found what he's looking for.

One of My Favorite U2 Songs and I’m Gonna Add This Song To My Future Movie Soundtrack on The Playlist As a Film Director Outside of Voice Acting in Animated Films
I'm glad that Bono not only performed this with U2, but also in Sing 2 ❤
good music + good message = perfection
Watching this 2020 lockdown... Taking it waaaaay back during the isolation🤘🏽😝
This song hits deep for me. I'm all in my feelings and this is the song for me. This one. Time to go to the country.
Honestly bro just sit in a field and star gaze all night in a tent
I would go to Utah and drive in the middle of nowhere on a long road at night
A paradise for my soul.
Great Song. I Love it.
Don't give up on what you are looking for, never ever
This song is a spiritual song to me .
This song still resonates in my soul bcs here I am 66yrs old and still haven't found what I'm looking for - thought I had it - then taken away - I'm still searching for what I'm looking for..
Love you man. Wish you’ll find it
Jesus Christ. He filled all my void
saludos compa desde KILPATRIK ALABAMA....🙏 U2 POR SIEMPRE..
I miss him....I still have this burning desire for him. I hope I find who I am looking for.
This song is actually about how he failed to find what he was looking for in the pleasures of life, and what it is, is a love song to God to Jesus Christ, he’s the only place where he can actually find what he’s looking for.
It’s actually a love song to Jesus not a woman.
Amen

------------------------------------> have a think about this : if life was offered to you as an option, much like a brochure, and you could see what the experience would be like, the love, the failures, the heartache.... would you agree and sign up for the trip ???
pain, joy and being a human is worth the experience is my option... but i do agree, it is all fucked up.. which is the way of our learning. Cannot go forward without learning from the past.
Yupp
Amen
Amen friend
I loved this song a long time ago, but sing 2 DID bring me back here. Also introduced my oldest daughter to this masterpiece Bono gifted us.
prob best album of all time
My mama loved this song.......... Rip Mama ❤️❤️❤️❤️🌸🌸🌸🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️
[Verse 1]
I have climbed the highest mountains
I have run through the fields
Only to be with you
Only to be with you
I have run, I have crawled
I have scaled these city walls
These city walls
Only to be with you
[Chorus]
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
[Verse 2]
I have kissed honey lips
Felt the healing in her finger tips
It burned like fire
This burning desire
I have spoke with the tongue of angels
I have held the hand of a devil
It was warm in the night
I was cold as a stone
[Chorus]
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
[Verse 3]
I believe in the Kingdom Come
Then all the colours will bleed into one
Bleed into one
But yes, I'm still running
You broke the bonds
And you loosed the chains
Carried the cross of my shame
Oh my shame, you know I believe it
[Chorus]
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for

@@plushduppie5423 yes....and
I love verse 3
It makes me resort to listen to this song, and this of the quote by Socrates, "I know one thing; I know nothing."
your not only one
Stop believing, it ain't real.
life can never be pointless.....its foundation is holy
So so love this song,
I knew they would still bring back a classic in the second
Bono numero UNO!!!!
This song never gets old! ❤️
true happiness lies in God, all his mercy and greatness can suffice our hunger

Glória 🙏
Watched it in 2021 ? ✨
I believe in the Kingdom come
Then all colors will bleed into one.
Nice song of U2, I love it but most of all, with or without you 🎶🎼🎵
